Traveling to Fiji during covid – everything you need to know

Everything you need to know about covid safe travel to Fiji is here. We flew to Fiji on 16 December with Virgin Australia  and our trip was amazing . Everything was so easy, and it’s even easier now as requirements have been relaxed.

Here is everything I know. Information can change quickly, but I’ll be updating here as it does, and the Tourism Fiji website  and Smart Traveller have all the info. But I have to say, a trip to Fiji is looking good right now – and it’s perfect for a solo parent holiday!

NOTE: Australia does not have pre-departure testing requirements for people leaving the country, so make sure you check the arrival requirements of your destination and those of the airline you’re flying. Australia DOES have vaccination requirements – if you’re over 12 you must be double vaxed to leave the country, and it must have been more than seven days before you fly.

Situation in Fiji

Fiji has a high level of vaccination – over 90% of adults are vaccinated and the rate is still climbing. Fiji also has a ‘no jab no job’ policy meaning everyone working in resorts and their tourism industry is fully vaccinated.

Fiji’s Care Fiji Commitment accreditation program makes sure that tourists only use accommodation, transport and activities that are accredited and safe. More information is outlined below.

Fiji Tourism is extremely confident guests will be looked after safety and has said that coupled with the high vaccination rate, their protocols are some of the best in the world for managing tourism safely during this time.

Pre-departure to Fiji checklist:

To travel to Fiji you must have the below information/fit the requirements. PRINT all documentation and keep it in a folder as you will need to show it at checkin and arrival.

Have been in a Fiji partner country for 14 days prior to travel

Fiji partner countries include Australia, the United States, Singapore, the UK and many more.           Find a list of all partner countries here.

Be fully vaccinated if over 18 years old.

If you’re over 18 you must be double vaxed and show your vaccination certificate to enter Fiji. Australia however requires everyone over 12 to be vaccinated to leave the country (or show exemption). Fiji recognises Astra-Zeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Download your International Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate

Download your International Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate from the MyGov portal and print it. You will need to link Medicare to do this.

12 years and older: Have a negative International Travel RT-PCR test two calendar days before departure OR a Rapid Antigen Test but this MUST  be done by a medical practitioner.

  • Make sure you have your travel RT-PCR test results – this is not the free covid test. SMS results are not accepted, you must have a printed, authorised result. You can get it at the NSW community testing centres ($79) or private pathology clinic, where the cost is around $110 per person, and if negative you will receive a Testing Clearance Certificate. You can get the test on a four – five hour (max. often it’s quicker) turnaround at Sydney and Melbourne airports before you fly.You can also book through pathology groups like Douglas Hanley Muir, however they charge a little more at $145 per test. Their national booking number is 1800 026 622.

*** Make sure to have your PASSPORT and FLIGHT DETAILS with you to get this test.

Rapid Antigen Test:

This sounds great on paper but there are a lot of requirements. A PCR is possibly the best way still unless you can get a formal RAT at a doctors.

RAT requirements:

(Effective from 09Feb22) Negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT): Travellers 12 years and above will be required to produce a negative RAT test taken no more than 24 hours prior to the commencement of journey of continuous flight(s), if applicable. RAT to be performed using nasopharyngeal, nasal, nasal mid-turbinate or oropharyngeal specimen collection methods. Test must be undertaken by or under the direct supervision of a medical practitioner (e.g., pharmacist general practitioner, nurse, pathologist, pathology collector or trained personnel at airport-based testing stations).

Accepted COVID-19 test results Your COVID-19 test result can be paper-based or electronic, and meet the following mandatory requirements:  Traveller name and date of birth;  Test result (such as ‘negative’ or ‘not detected’);  Method of test conducted e.g., PCR/nucleic acid amplification test (NAA) or rapid antigen test;  Type of specimen collected;  Brand and manufacturer of the test (for RAT tests);  Date of specimen collection for the accepted COVID-19 test; and  Date of test that the specimen for the test was collected, and the test was carried out by or under the supervision of and, signed by an authorised person (see below). If this information is not provided, travellers will NOT be able to check in and board the aircraft.

If traveling with Fiji Airways upload your vaccination documents pre-boarding.

They will email customers a link to upload. Also have your documents with you to show on check-in (listed below)

If you have had covid within the last 30 days you must have done your 14 days quarantine and have a negative test or clearance from you health authority before you travel to Fiji.

Have travel insurance that covers covid (see below for more on this), have bookings for the first three nights at cfc accredited providers., download the care fiji app, download the australian travel declaration app (to complete within 72 hours departure to australia). if you can’t download the app/don’t have a phone you can make your declaration here and print it., booking flights, accommodation and transfers, 1. booking your flights.

Check if your airline requires pre-departure travel forms to be completed online and for any in-flight requirements.  Fiji Airlines will email a link to passengers where you can upload your vaccination certificate and additional details. Currently Virgin Australia and Qantas require them on check in.

2. Booking your accommodation

You must book a minimum of four days and three nights with a Care Fiji Commitment certified property. This accommodation complies with covid safety requirements and is part of the approved Fiji program. You may only stay at these hotels and resorts and can travel between them as long as they are CFC certified – even in the first 24 hours before the rapid PCR. Look for the blue logo and check before you book.

3. Booking transfers and activities

Any transfers must be with accredited CFC transfer companies. You may book activities also, as long as they are with CFC transfer companies too.

3. Insurance

As soon as you book make sure to get your insurance. Cover-More has excellent travel insurance for Fiji, covering the main areas of concern: medical if you contract covid and reimbursement if you have to stay in accommodation/pay for isolation should you contract covid. Make sure to read the PSD, and I also called Cover-More directly to clarify everything. You can read all the info below. Getting your insurance online is easy and quick, so I recommend that. Most importantly READ THE PDS.

You must buy CoverMore’s insurance at least 21 days before you depart.

It’s also great that the price of insurance has not climbed too much, so it’s still affordable and you will have cover and peace of mind (plus you MUST have international covid insurance to be able to travel).

Find detailed information from Cover-More on their cover insurance policies at the end of this post.

4. Download the CareFIJI app for contact tracing in Fiji

Just go to the App Store and download the app. You can set it up before you go so it’s installed and ready when you arrive in Fiji. It’s easy to register, just provide your phone number and you’ll be sent a confirmation code. Once in Fiji are sure the app is on,  and bluetooth is activated while you’re there. Use the app for QR check in and check outs as you move around.

5. At check in have hard copies (no SMS or email) of:

  • Insurance policy with covid cover – print the covid pages of the PDS
  • Transfers and accommodation booking confirmation of the first three nights for your CFC approved accommodation. I suggest printing out all your accommodation confirmations and bringing it all.
  • RT-PCR test results
  • International vaccination certificates

You will need to complete an arrival form and cover declaration on the plane.

You may also need to show your:.

  • Insurance policy
  • Accommodation booking confirmation for first three nights at CFC approved accommodation
  • RT-PCR/RAT test results
  • Vaccination certificates
  • Activated CareFiji app

We were not asked for any of this but you do need to have it.

During your holiday

Wellness ambassadors/medical staff at resorts are your first contact.

Wellness Ambassadors at each resort are your contact for all covid enquiries, booking tests and if you need to discuss positive tests and arrange isolation. You will get all these details on arrival.

Rapid COVID-19 test 48 hours after arrival

48 hours after you have arrived you must have a Rapid PDR covid test. This can be done at your CFC approved resort and costs approximately $17AUD. You can contact your resort to find out the cost of this test, but it’s great news that resorts will be equipped to conduct the testing in-house. Ours was a self test and I had my negative result in 15 minutes.

You can still spend time at the resort and enjoy the facilities, and you can take day trips too, as long as you only use CFC approved and certified operators.

Keep your CareFIJI app on, socially distance and sanitise

Only use cfc certified operators, wear a mask.

Masks are required in busy public spaces and in indoor spaces. If you’re outdoors and its not crowded you don’t have to wear a mask but it is still recommended.

If you test positive

Contact your Wellness Ambassador who will put the CFC response into action. This will involve medical assessment, 10 days of isolation and care by medical staff. You should also then contact your insurer and change your flights. The CFC is set up to be able to quickly and seamlessly manage positive results. you can return home after a negative test.

Returning home

  • Complete your Australian Travel Declaration 72 hours before departure. You can do in on desktop or through the app. You’ll have to present your declaration before boarding your flight and on arrival in Australia.
  • Do a RAT within 24 hours of boarding.
  • Have your negative test results – paper or electronic is accepted.
  • Check in will open three hours before flights.
  • Passengers will need to provide passport and itinerary at entrance to airport
  • Wearing a mask is compulsory.
  • Mandatory temperature check.
  • All documents will be checked at check in – negative test, vaccination certificate and ATD.
  • Seating at departure lounges will be distanced

On arrival in Australia

Isolate and take a Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours.

Take a further RAT on Day 6.

Don’t visit high risk places like hospitals and aged care facilities for seven days.

COVERMORE INSURANCE DETAIL

What is covered in Cover-More policies in regard to COVID-19 for international travel?

In December 2020, Cover-More introduced a number of previously unavailable COVID benefits for Australians travelling to New Zealand. These benefits, shown below, now extend to any country which is  not  subject to ‘Do not travel’ advice from the Australian Government on their Smartraveller website:  www.smartraveller.gov.au

Importantly, Cover-More has offered cover for medical expenses for COVID-19 right from the beginning of the pandemic, so if you contract COVID-19 during your trip and you need to be hospitalised, your medical expenses will be covered, and you will also be fully supported by our global medical assistance team who operate around the clock.

Cover-More covers cancellation of the trip if you are diagnosed with having COVID-19 pre-trip. It does not matter that the country was ‘do not travel’ as at the issue date of the policy.

If it is an  on-trip  COVID-19 diagnosis, then it still does not matter if it was ‘do not travel’ as at the issue date. What matters is the travel advice status on your entry to the country.

The cover doesn’t stretch to border closures. They are too challenging to try and predict, model and price. Cover-More has worked hard to keep travel insurance premiums affordable for travelling Australians.

What is covered and the amount of cover available?

Our favourite resorts:

For an easy trip from the airport straight to the resort we love the Radisson Blu Denarau . It is such a lovely resort with shade cloth over the lagoon pool, a waterslide, great restaurants, kids club and torch lighting ceremony. White it doesn’t have a swimmable beach it is right near the port for day trips to the islands and for snorkelling with accredited providers. You can read our review here.

We stayed at  The Warwick when I first took Emmie to Fiji when she was four months old. It has beautiful grounds, super caring staff, great swimming pools and snorkelling off the beach. We will be gong back here for sure.

The Intercontinental Fiji was such a fun stay, the kids pool is absolutely huge, the adults only pool is private and the snorkelling was lovely. Our room was gorgeous, with an outdoor bath – cocktails were great too! It was a really, really nice stay here and just a little bit (a lot) fancy!

Important Information for Travellers to Fiji

ADVISORY: FIJI REMOVES REMAINING COVID-19 RELATED BORDER HEALTH MEASURES – INCLUDING PROOF OF VACCINATION

14 February 2023: Effective today, 14 February 2023, international travellers to Fiji will no longer be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and travel insurance. This move comes following careful consideration of the global and national COVID-19 situation by the COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Taskforce (CRMT) and applies to both arrivals from air and sea. Previously, all travellers 16 years and above were required to produce proof of full vaccination and travel insurance covering COVID-19. As reported by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS), Fiji’s hospitalisation is low, owed to our community-wide immunisation and in-country surveillance capacity. Notably, the focus remains on implementing COVID safe measures around those vulnerable to the severe effects of COVID-19. The MHMS also reports 100 percent of Fiji’s estimated adult population have received one dose and 95 percent received the second dose. The vaccination of our target population has been progressing well with the 12 years and above coverage rate for Fiji being 99 percent for Dose 1 and 89 percent for Dose 2. Furthermore, as of the 8 February, 170,867 (54.6%) booster-eligible individuals have so far received their 3rd dose while 29,208 individuals have been administered the 4th dose. Therefore, consistent with the experience in other countries with high vaccination rates, Fiji will no longer have any COVID-19 related border health measures. Fiji’s Border Authorities will continue to review border health measures and maintain community surveillance for early warning of future threats while fostering socio-economic recovery. Fiji’s economic recovery continues on the back of a strong tourism rebound. In 2022, visitor arrivals to Fiji reached 71.1 percent of 2019 levels (636,312) with a strong forecast for the first quarter of 2022. Ends.

Thinking of travelling to Fiji? Here are the COVID travel requirements you need to know

A group dancing on the beach in traditional dress.

With international travel restrictions easing again in Australia you might be thinking of a tropical holiday in nearby Fiji.

Before you go you might be wondering what are the latest COVID restrictions, what happens if you get it while you're there and what is the risk of infection while travelling?

Here are all your Fiji COVID questions answered.

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Fiji is only open to fully vaccinated travellers and their accompanying minors.

Anyone older than 16 must display proof of vaccination at the airport check-in prior to departure for Fiji.

Two women toast with their fears in a tropical paradise under palm trees

In this case, fully vaccinated means you have received two doses of a TGA-approved vaccination.

Fiji currently recognises AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Coronavac (Sinovac), Covishield, BBIBP-CorV (Sinopharm), Covaxin and Sputnik V vaccines.

Do I need to do a COVID test before leaving?

No, but you do need to do one once you get there.

To enter the country, you will need to pre-book a rapid antigen test (RAT) which every traveller aged 12 and over must take within 72 hours of arrival.

Do I need anything else to enter?

A close-up of a person using a rapid antigen test, holding a swab in one hand and a dropper bottle over the test in the other.

Yes, you will also need travel insurance and it must cover COVID-19.

If your insurance doesn't cover COVID-19 the country offers a FijiCare COVID-19 travel insurance available to all travellers.

The only exception is if you hold a valid permit and have a supporting letter from a sponsor or employer to meet all COVID-related costs, including isolation if required.

Your insurance should require any extra days you need to stay in the country isolating should you test positive for COVID.

Am I required to wear a mask?

Mask wearing is optional in Fiji however it is recommended, especially in crowded venues.

An exception applies if you are a close contact with a positive COVID case where you are required to wear a mask in public.

What happens if I get COVID while I'm there?

Fiji has a seven-day isolation period for anyone who tests positive with COVID.

Where possible you should be able to isolate in the room you've booked if you're staying in a hotel, otherwise there may be an isolation room at the hotel, or you will be placed in an "overflow" facility.

Isolation ends if you are fever-free, and all your other symptoms have improved after the seven days.

Masks are encouraged after testing positive however this is not mandatory.

What if someone I'm travelling with tests positive but I'm negative?

You can choose to isolate with them, but you don't have to.

If you do choose to isolate, you will be required to wear a N95 mask.

It also means if you test positive during that time you will have to commence your own seven-day isolation period.

If you decide not to isolate, you will be required to wear a mask in public and test if you experience symptoms.

I've recently had COVID, do I have to postpone my trip?

Depends on when you had it.

If you have tested positive within 30 days of your travel and have recovered, you'll need to produce either a proof of isolation from a credible institution, a fit to fly certificate or a letter from a doctor.

What happens if I don't follow these requirements?

There are some tough penalties.

Anyone who fails to comply with the mandatory requirements is liable on conviction to a fine of up to FJ$10,000 ($6,700) or up to five years' imprisonment.

Being convicted of a crime overseas may also impact your ability to travel in the future.

What do I need to do before coming back to Australia?

From July 6, Australia will be open to anyone  regardless of vaccination  status.

A COVID test is also not required, however travellers are encouraged to monitor symptoms after returning.

What is Fiji's vaccination rate?

A man and a woman sit on a Fijian sailboat with a sunset in the background.

More than 95 per cent of Fiji's adult population is fully vaccinated.

Comparatively, Australia has a 95.92 vaccination rate for people older than 16.

However, the Fijian government does recommend avoiding areas with low vaccination rates to help lower risk of exposure.

Fiji also has a comparatively low COVID rate compared with other countries, on June 30 reporting 64,713 total cases – Australia has had more than 8.1 million cases.

However, it is worth noting Fiji has a much smaller population of 896,000.

How will I know where I should go within Fiji?

Fiji has a program called the Care Fiji Commitment (CFC) where all businesses and services participating follow a World Health Organization approved standard of best health practice.

The program also ensures everyone you interact it in the program will be fully vaccinated.

The Fiji government recommends staying, dining and doing tours with CFC businesses to avoid infection.

Safe travels!

What to Declare When Arriving in Fiji

A guide to quarantine and customs declarations in fiji.

Fiji ‘s border control has strict rules on what visitors can bring into the country. The majority of restricted or prohibited items are those which pose a threat to the health and biosecurity of the country. For this reason, it’s best to be mindful about what you pack in your luggage and know what to declare when arriving in Fiji.

What Does “Declaring” Mean?

The guide below will go over the most common examples of things that you will need to declare when arriving in Fiji. Declaring is done through the Passenger Arrival Card , which is given to you to complete during your flight into Fiji. You can also declare verbally when you are passing through Customs and Biosecurity in Fiji.

For more information on the Customs and Biosecurity process, head to  Arriving in Fiji: Airport Customs, Biosecurity & the Arrival Process .

What Happens if You Have Risk Goods?

The most important thing to remember when arriving in Fiji is to: Declare, Declare, Declare! If you are unsure whether you need to declare something or not, declare it anyway! That way, you won’t get an instant fine.

Disposing of Risk Items Before Passing Through Biosecurity

Amnesty bins are readily available in Fiji’s international airports before passing through Biosecurity so that you can dispose of any declarable or risk items that you have not declared on your Passenger Arrival Card . Dispose of any potential risk items that you have not declared into these bins. Ask a Biosecurity Officer for advice if you are unsure.

What Happens to Undeclared Risk Items?

When passing through Biosecurity, if any restricted, prohibited or declarable items are found in your luggage or in your possession, which you have not declared on your Passenger Arrival Card, you may be fined an instant FJ$400. You may also be liable for prosecution with a maximum fine of FJ$20,000 and/or up to six months imprisonment

What if Your Declared Item is Prohibited?

If you have declared an item that is deemed to be unsafe by Biosecurity Officers, then the item may require treatment at your expense. Alternatively, you may have the option of the item being destroyed immediately or re-exported to the country of origin under Biosecurity supervision at your expense.

Declaring Food When Arriving in Fiji

You must declare all food that you are bringing into Fiji. No matter what type of food it is, you should declare it anyway. While some foods are allowed to pass through the border, many foods will be inspected and dealt with accordingly. Food that is considered a risk item will be inspected and likely destroyed if it deemed unsafe.

Foods that are considered a risk item include:

  • Dairy products
  • Dried mushrooms or fungi
  • Honey or honey/bee products
  • Seeds for eating or processing into food
  • Nuts, herbs, spices and un-popped popcorn
  • Dried, cooked or preserved fruit and vegetables
  • Fresh fruit and vegetables .

For a list of food that you can and cannot bring into Fiji, check out our guide, Taking Food to Fiji: What You Need to Know LINK#TT004.

Declaring Plants and Plant Products

All plants and plant material must also be declared when arriving in Fiji. Many plant products will either need to be treated, need a permit or are strictly prohibited. Examples of plant products that you need to declare are (but are not limited to):

  • Fresh or dried flowers
  • Items made of bamboo, cane, rattan, coconut straw , etc.
  • Items made of wood , like drums, carvings, masks, utensils, tools, etc.
  • Corn and/or straw souvenirs such as items stuffed with seeds or straw.

Declaring Animals and Animal Products

Any kind of animal, including reptiles, birds, aquatic life, etc. must be declared. Importing live animals requires a permit, where permission is granted on a case by case basis by the Biosecurity Authority of Fiji .

On top of that, any animal products must be declared. Animal products refer to (but is not limited to):

  • All uncanned meat
  • Airline food such as sandwiches containing meat
  • Special diet food
  • Fish and any type of seafood product
  • Animal skins or any item made of animal skins
  • Masks with animal fur or hair
  • Honey and honey products
  • Mayonnaise .

Declaring Camping and Sports Gear

Equipment that has been used in the outdoors, such as camping and sporting equipment, can be the carrier of pests and diseases. For this reason, you are asked to declare any camping or sporting equipment when arriving in Fiji. While you are allowed to bring such equipment into Fiji, it must be free from dirt or soil. Make sure all your gear is well cleaned before packing it for Fiji.

Camping and sporting equipment refers to (and therefore you must declare):

  • Used sporting shoes/boots and tracking shoes/boots/gear
  • Camping equipment
  • Fishing equipment , such as rods, reels and nets, etc.

Declaring Biological Items

You also must declare any biological items or goods that may carry biological items. That’s why your Passenger Arrival Card will ask if you have “any equipment used with animals, fish or plants, including bee-keeping equipment, saddle, or any other used equipment,” as well as “biological specimens”.

Biological items that you must declare include:

  • Live/dried/preserved insects or fungi
  • Any other kind of biological specimens
  • Bee-keeping equipment
  • Clothing, shoes and OHS equipment used with animals, fish or plants
  • Any other kind of plating products or used equipment
  • Mineral sample
  • Tools used in farms.

Other Customs and Biosecurity Risks to Declare

While all of the above items mentioned must be declared for health and biosecurity reasons, the following items must also be declared in order to pass through Customs.

Medicines and Drugs

If you are carrying prescription medicine or controlled drugs, then you need a prescription from your physician. The prescription must be under the name of you or someone travelling with you. Learn more about health and safety in Fiji in How to Keep Safe in Fiji , as well as what recommended medication to bring in our guide, What Medication to Pack in Your First Aid Kit for Fiji .

Dangerous drugs, as well as utensils used to prepare drugs like Cannabis utensils and Opium pipes, are prohibited from being brought into Fiji, including:

  • Raw or prepared opium
  • Indian hemp
  • Methamphetamines
  • Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)
  • Synthetic drugs
  • and others, as stated in the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004.

Weapons and Firearms

It is prohibited to bring certain types of weapons with you, such as flick knives, swordsticks, knuckle-dusters and weapons designed to give the appearance of another object . Importing firearms is restricted and subject to obtaining an import permit from the Fiji Police. Even if you do have a firearms permit from the Fiji Police, you still must declare the firearms for safe-keeping.

Holy Water and Human Remains (Ash)

You must also declare if you have Holy Water or human remains .

What Else Do You Need to Declare?

For the remainder of items that you need to declare when arriving in Fiji, they must meet certain allowances that visitors can bring into Fiji for personal use. If the value of your items is above the allowances then you may need to pay duty tax on them.

Personal Items

Your personal items, such as clothing, toiletries and cosmetics, jewellery, cameras, laptops, etc. are free of duty as long as you own them at the time of arriving in Fiji and they are for your own personal use, rather than intended for gifts, for sale or exchange. The items in your luggage must be what a passenger would reasonably be expected to have in their bags.

Alcohol and Tabacco

You may bring alcohol and tobacco into Fiji as long as the traveller is no younger than 18 years old, they are for personal use and not for sale, and they are not being carried on behalf of another person.

There are also allowances on the amount of alcohol and tobacco you can bring into Fiji, which is as follows:

  • 200 cigarettes, 200 g of tobacco products, 200 g of cigars, or a mixture of these, as long as it’s not more than 200 g
  • 4.5 l of wine or beer, or 2.25 l of spirits or liqueur, or a mixture of these as long as they don’t exceed the equivalent quantity under liquor, wine and beer.

Other Dutiable Goods

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about Fiji Tourism Fiji Island is one of the most popular travel destinations in the South Pacific. Fiji is a territory of Australia and has strong colonial connections to New Zealand and Scotland. It is often referred to as "The Queen of the South", owing to its lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and abundant natural resources. Due to a recent trend of building luxurious resorts on the small islands, many tourists bypass the small villages in favor of modern and secluded Fiji Island. Is a stunning archipelago of over 300 islands. It is known for its spectacular palm-lined coastal beaches, rugged landscapes, and crystal-clear lagoons. Most of its main islands, Viti Levu, Vanuatu, and Fiji, contain the majority of inhabitants. Viti Levu is home to Fiji's capital, Suva, which is a port town with colonial-style architectural buildings.

Viti Levu is Fiji's largest island. Viti Levu is a popular tourist destination and the largest town. It is also known as sevusevu or off (main) beach due to its being a prominent landmark on the main island. This beach is considered paradise by many local and international tourists alike.

Suva is the capital and also one of the oldest cities in Fiji. It is surrounded by mountains and is the most picturesque place in Fiji. It is also Fiji's main port and has the country's largest airport which is located on Fiji's east coast. Travelers flying to Fiji can arrive at Suva International Airport. However, you must take into account that due to the pandemic that the world is experiencing, the authorities require you to enter the island with a Fiji Health declaration form to demonstrate that you are in good health and free of Covid-19.

Tourism has played a vital role in the conservation of the local environment. The tourism industry generated over $5 billion for the economy and provided employment for the majority of Fijians. Due to its unique location, the island of Fiji is considered a very important tourist market. There is no doubt that Fiji's tourism will continue to flourish as long as Fijian travelers are willing to invest in it. For this reason, it is an excellent destination to visit, just pack your bags and contact iVisa.com to find out what requirements you need to enter this island.

Despite its small size, Fiji's tourism is very varied and attracts many travelers from all over the world. Its coral reefs are rich in biodiversity and play an important role in protecting the surrounding biodiversity. A visit to the island of Fiji will allow you to see an incredible variety of marine life. This island has protected nature reserves such as the Pitheasant Reserve, Bird's Nest National Park, Basses Reef, and Peacock Island. Travelers can also enjoy its traditional cuisine, unique culture, and fascinating local food. Fresh local foods are cooked by the local people and are available at all of the restaurants with food service. They prepare delicious local food and serve it with great enthusiasm. Some of the most popular local dishes are fay, papaya salad, jerk chicken, vegetables such as, pumpkin, fresh fish, seafood (mainly tuna), meat such as squid, turtles, poultry, etc. Coffee, teas, and chocolates are popular gifts.

The combination of these ingredients makes every bite a delight. Some of these recipes call for the use of lime or sugar and other natural sweeteners but keep in mind that the locals prefer to keep things simple. It's all because their strong belief system compels them to feed their little ones only what is fresh and pure.

It's safe to say that no food in the world can compete with the taste of Fijian food. However, you can quench your thirst better than almost any other place thanks to the availability of fresh bilo corns (boiled turtle shell) from the main island of Fiji. These shell beads are harvested near Lake Vida, on the southwestern coast of Fiji. If you have ever been lucky enough to witness this spectacle you will never forget the experience!

Fijians are known for their love of life. They live to serve others and share the blessings of life. They are warm people and, most importantly, they are passionate about what they do. That passion is expressed in their physical form and in their way of living life.

Upon arrival on the island, you will be greeted by breathtakingly beautiful scenery. You will be greeted by a tribe of smiling Fijians living in houses known as "tribes". These houses vary in size according to the needs of each tribe. Most work from Fiji's main island, where they spend their time wisely deciding which tribe to respect and spend the night. After a hard day's work, people relax in their tipis and enjoy a well-deserved rest. Enjoying this experience is easy, the authorities have a document that you must have with you before you start your trip to the island. The Fiji Health declaration form is a document that proves to the authorities that you are in good health, in order to take care of its population against the spread of the virus.

Fiji's main island has always been one of the best places to live, especially for retirees. With a wide variety of facilities that include shops, schools, and even retirement homes, the Fijian people never feel far from home. The main island is also well known for its excellent golf courses, which number twenty-four in total. This makes it an ideal place for families to come and enjoy some friendly competition.

Even though there are many wonderful places to visit on a holiday in Fiji, nothing comes close to what the mainland of Fiji has to offer. There is simply no comparison to the fresh air of a fresh Fiji beach. If you ever get the chance of spending a few days on the mainland, you'll find it an experience unlike anything else. Many of the main island's main roads have never been altered upon, making them a truly scenic experience. The views from the top of Mount Logan are simply breathtaking, as well as the impressive scale of the scenery.
