  • During the show in Los Angeles, they performed "Whistle (Acoustic ver.)" instead of the original version. During the encore stage, "Stay" was performed instead of "Hope Not".
  • During the first show in Newark, Dua Lipa joined Blackpink to perform "Kiss and Make Up".
  • During the show in Manchester, Blackpink modified elements of their performances with due respect to the approaching 2nd anniversary of the Manchester Arena bombing incident. *Specifically, "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" was removed from the setlist, "Whistle" lyrics and "Kill This Love" choreography were changed. During the encore stage, Blackpink dedicated "Stay" to the victims and those affected by the attack; another performance of "Don't Know What To Do" was added along with the original setlist.
  • During the show in Melbourne and Sydney, Rosé added "Coming Home" to her solo medley performance. This could be because she grew up in these two locations.
  • During the show in Sydney, "Stay" was added to the encore performance. This was mostly because Jisoo claimed that she was unable to walk after Hope Not
  • It is the largest world tour ever by a kpop girl group, reaching over 300,000 people worldwide.

BLACKPINK Proven to be the Best K-Pop Group Through ‘Data’

Apr 7, 2020 3:32 am KST

Group BLACKPINK is proving themselves as the best K-Pop group through data.

On January 1(local time), ‘Touring Data’ announced that BLACKPINK’s first-ever world tour titled ‘2019 IN YOUR AREA’ became the most successful concert tour by a Korean female group in history. ‘Touring Data’ specializes in aggregating concert tour box office data.

The agency reported various records along with their announcement. According to Touring Data, BLACKPINK became the only group in history to reach 1 million dollars in sales per concert on 4 different continents, including Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania.

In North America, they were recorded as the 10th Asian artist in history to reach 1 million dollars in sales through a single concert.

Touring Data wrote, “In 2019, BLACKPINK’s concert at The Forum, Inglewood, was the highest grossing single concert in history by a female group in North America”.

They also added, “BLACKPINK’s concert at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, was the highest grossing and the most attended single concert in history by a female group in Oceania”.

The scale of a world tour is an objective figure which one can estimate an artist’s global popularity. BLACKPINK is reviewed to have surpassed the levels of existing K-Pop girl groups through their large tour scale, according to statistics announced by Touring Data.

Starting with their first-ever solo concert in Korea titled ‘In Your Area’, held in Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena back in November 2018, BLACKPINK met their global fans through a world tour held in 23 cities of 4 continents including Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, LA, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Amsterdam, Manchester, London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Macau, Melbourne, and Sydney.

in your area tour touring data

Among all concerts, tickets for a total of 22 concerts held in Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, LA, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, Fort Worth, London, Paris, Macau, and Melbourne were sold out. The average seat-share rate of their world tour turned out to be 96.6%.

If a K-Pop girl group dictionary exists, the first line for the definition of ‘BLACKPINK’ would be described as a girl group announced by YG Entertainment in 7 years since ‘2NE1’. Their songs ‘BOOMBAYAH’ and ‘WHISTLE’, listed on their first single album, do not differ that much from the original styles of 2NE1.

However, BLACKPINK is not 2NE1. They have appealed their loveliness rather than their strong charisma, establishing themselves as the original BLACKPINK rather than a second version of 2NE1.

The heated popularity of their mini album ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ and its title song ‘Kill This Love’ proves this fact. Through this song, BLACKPINK has set the best records in K-Pop girl group history on global music charts.

BLACKPINK’s ‘Kill This Love’ entered Billboard’s main charts including the ‘Hot 100’ as no. 41 and the ‘Billboard 200’ as no. 24. They are Billboard’s main single and album charts, respectively. They’ve also entered UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100 as no. 33, setting the best record in K-Pop girl group history as well as setting their own best record. They’ve remained charted on Billboard and Official Charts for 4 and 5 consecutive weeks respectively, proving that they can maintain their popularity in the ‘long run’ rather than receive the spotlight ‘momentarily’.

BLACKPINK is planning to release a new album early this year. The industry is expecting that the group will set new milestones that will surpass their latest release, ‘Kill This Love’.

Campus tour data

3 strategies to maximize self-guided tours

How a StudentBridge Virtual Campus Tour Can Help with Content and Distribution | StudentBridge

How to keep campus visits flexible and accessible during the next COVID surge

Campus visit data can be powerful. Here’s how to identify the data you really need and how to collect it.

No institution will ever tell you they have a shortage of data.

The real challenge is confirming you have the right data to glean insights and drive meaningful change.

Campus tour offerings are the perfect example of this. Over the past two years, institutions have been pushed to rethink and expand their tours beyond in-person visits. Many had to quickly stand up virtual offerings such as Zoom tours, virtual maps, social media takeovers, and other options. Most commonly we see institutions employ more than one such virtual offering.

While these virtual offerings were initially rolled out quickly to address a new need, they’ve proven to be a viable way for institutions to increase accessibility and engagement with prospective students. However, most institutions can only point to anecdotal evidence for this, which can make it difficult to know if each of your virtual offerings are pulling their weight or if they are unnecessarily draining resources.

This, in turn, presents a challenge when it comes to supporting strategy, effectively allocating limited resources, and sharpening the experiences your future students will use to make one of the most important decisions of their lives.

And it’s not just virtual tours you need to be looking to collect hard data around — it’s all of your tour offerings.

If you don’t have a data-informed process in place for effectively evaluating your tours, now is the time to put one in place so you can make the right decisions about the future of your tour experience. And if you have a preexisting system in place, check in on it to ensure it continues to meet your institution’s needs as your offerings grow and evolve.

So how does this process start?

It begins with determining what data is most valuable when evaluating your tours. Pretend for a moment that you are faced with a large financial cut and have to remove half of your tour offerings by the end of the month. How would you determine which to keep?

To answer this question, you need to ask data-centric questions that not only speak to values that mean the most to your process but also align to institutional priorities. These questions could include:

What medium (virtual, institution-led, self-guided, etc.) of your offerings drew the highest numbers?

What are the demographic characteristics of students who visited in person vs virtually?

What percentage of students indicate they are unable to visit in person and are looking for virtual offerings?

What medium of visits have prospective students found most helpful in making a decision to apply? Least helpful?

What percentage of students that applied went on a visit in person? Virtually? Both?

What percentage of students that enrolled went on a visit in person? Virtually? Both?

Once you know how your tour offerings will be assessed, you’ll quickly know what data you need and what data you’re missing. Naturally, your next step is to create a medium to collect your missing data.

If you skipped the process of defining what you’ll assess when it comes to tours and which data points you’ll need to do so, you might find yourself with a data tracking system that’s all bells and whistles rather than a solution to your data tracking needs.

When looking at implementing new data tracking systems, be certain of these two points:

You’re getting actionable data that is easy to read, digest, and share

It will be easy to combine your new and existing data points together to create a full, data-rich story

These are just some of the factors we kept in mind when we designed how data is captured and presented in our Campus Visit Experience . For example, our dashboard highlights the number of tours taken and types, inquiry submission rates (by type of tour), trending interest of prospective students, a heat map of which dates are most popular for tours, and more.

This allows us to help our higher education partners:

Understand inquiry trends based on demographics by importing our tour data into their existing CRMs

Leverage engagement data to determine which resources prospective students are most commonly interacting with

Confirm which methods of communication lead to the highest engagement

Analyze how frequently applicants and enrollees engage with a virtual tour

Determine what areas prospective students are most interested in learning about to inform the design of marketing materials, curated tours, and more

And that’s only the beginning.

If you’re ready to take your campus tours to the next level and dive deep into meaningful tour data, we’d be happy to help. Sign up for a free, no-obligation demo to check it out for yourself. Sign up for a demo .

Best Overall: Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction

Price: From $59.99 Duration: 90 minutes Location: 3849 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

The range of acts at Dolly Parton's Stampede makes it an all-around great show. From arena-style seating, you'll enjoy friendly competition with fellow attendees on the opposite side of the venue – egged on by your show's host. Select guests even get to enter the arena for family fun and games: Kids chase chickens across a finish line, adults swing toilet seats like horseshoes, and one lucky individual gets shuffled around in a barrel as part of a magic trick.

Aside from the lighthearted activities, the show brings spectacular pyrotechnics, horse riding stunts, aerial acrobatics and animal appearances, including buffaloes and longhorns. Dolly fans will also enjoy original songs from the artist played during the performance. The entertainment is paired with a four-course feast of creamy vegetable soup, a homemade biscuit, a whole rotisserie chicken, hickory-smoked pork loin, corn on the cob, a baked potato and an apple turnover; for a drink, choose from unlimited soda, tea or coffee.

Local tip: Have a Dollywood season pass? If so, make sure to take advantage of the deals and discounts it provides at other Pigeon Forge attractions, including Dolly Parton's Stampede. You can get a few dollars off adult tickets when you show your season pass.

Best for Adults: Paula Deen's Lumberjack Feud Supper Show

A performer of Paula Deen's Lumberjack Feud Supper Show stand on a platform and chops into a tree trunk.

Price: From $49.99 for adults Duration: 90 minutes Location: 2530 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

In summer 2023, the popular Paula Deen's Lumberjack Feud joined the ranks of Pigeon Forge's dinner shows by adding a camp-style meal to the experience: a barbecue sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, a cookie and a drink. As Pigeon Forge's only outdoor dinner show, Paula Deen's Lumberjack Feud takes place rain or shine in climate-controlled grandstands. Audience members pick which family in the feud to root for (Team Dawson or Team McGraw), and then watch the show's competing lumberjacks undertake ax throwing, log sports and other physical challenges. In addition to splitting wood, the event promises "side-splitting" comedy.

You'll also have an option to combine your supper show ticket with access to the Lumberjack Feud Adventure Park. This adjacent theme park includes an 80-foot freefall jump, a high ropes course, logger-related sports and a zip line rollercoaster.

Local tip: If you're looking for another unique show in the area that adults will enjoy, consider checking out The Listening Room. Based on its sister location in Nashville, the venue hosts musicians who sing and tell the stories behind their music. While it's not a true dinner show – meaning your meal is not included with your ticket – audience members are encouraged to order from the restaurant's full menu and bar during the performance.

Best for Families: Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show

A performer in Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show stands on a ship on fire.

Courtesy of Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show

Price: From $59.99 Duration: 90 minutes Location: 2713 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

Sea lions and tropical birds may not be what you first associate with the Smokies, but at the Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, you'll see these creatures and more. Set in arena-style seating with full-sized pirate ships, the show follows the family-friendly stories of infamous pirate Blackbeard and his quartermaster, Calico Jack, leading the Crimson and Sapphire crews through adventures. You can expect to see high dives into deep water, acrobatic mermaids and performances reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil.

Center seats provide an excellent view. Sit in the lower levels, however, if you and the kiddos don't mind getting a little wet as part of the experience. Along with the entertainment, guests are served a four-course meal. Some of the feast's highlights include swashbucklin' sugar-cured ham, cracklin' pan-fried chicken, a buccaneer biscuit and a specialty dessert.

Local tip: The Pirates Voyage theater sits along the Pigeon Forge Riverwalk Greenway – a paved 4-mile path that follows the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River. The walkway runs from Patriot Park at its southern end (near popular restaurant The Old Mill) up to Old City Park. About halfway along the path, close to the theater, it passes The Island , a go-to spot for rides, shopping, lodging and dining. If you'd like to get some steps in, explore other stops in town and avoid post-show traffic, you'll find free parking at both ends of the greenway and at The Island for an easy stroll to the theater.

Best Comedy: Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud

A performer of Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud stands center stage with their arms raised.

Courtesy of Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud

Price: From $59.99 Duration: 90 minutes Location: 119 Music Road, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

The Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud promises feudin', feastin' and family fun, as it plays off the historical rivalry between two families. The show centers on a hillbilly theme, complete with a flying contraption deemed the "billycopter," as well as "divin' hillbillies and divin' dogs" in an onstage swimming hole. Your dinner servers remain in character as part of the show – offering up fresh roadkill opossum as an entree, for example – and may even surprise you at some point by taking a dive into the pool. In addition, you can expect lots of singing and dancing and plenty of jokes. This dinner show is all about its playful environment.

Rectangular tables with checkered tablecloths form rows of amphitheater seating where you can enjoy your meal and laughs with your party. This production differs from other dinner shows in the area where you sit in single-file rows to dine. The dinner show is also unique in that it offers an all-you-can-eat Southern-style meal, with favorites such as feudin' fried chicken, pulled-to-pieces pork barbecue, smashed mashed taters and coleslaw.

Local tip: If you're looking for laughs but don't need the full dinner service, check out Pigeon Forge's Comedy Barn Theater for clean humor that's suitable for the whole family. Additionally, if you're visiting Pigeon Forge during the holidays, note that the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud becomes the Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud for a seasonal spin on the same antics.

Best Murder Mystery: Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show

Price: From $53.84 for adults Duration: 2 to 3 hours Location: 2682 Teaster Lane, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

This interactive whodunit theater offers four different shows: Moonshine Murders, Who Shot the Sheriff, Marriage Can Be Murder and Killer Prom. Attendees can arrive a half-hour before the show's start time to fill out a clue packet while enjoying beverages and the meal's first soup course. After the show's first act, entrees are served, and then the second act begins. Guests then receive dessert before the third and final act reveals the story's murderer. The show takes place throughout the intimate dining room, making every seat a perfect choice.

The theater's menu offers special dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meal options. Otherwise, every meal comes with a choice of three soups, country fried chicken, white pepper gravy, mashed potatoes, country-style green beans, a dinner roll and a choice of three cheesecake flavors. Soda, coffee and iced tea are included with the meal; beer and wine coolers are available for an additional cost.

Local tip: The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show is located on Teaster Lane across from Pigeon Forge's Mountain Mile shopping, dining and entertainment development. Stop by before or after your show for a moonshine tasting at Junction 35 Spirits or a honey tasting at Savannah Bee Company.

FEMA Team Tours Ohio County To Assess Flood Damage

in your area tour touring data

|Photo by Emma Delk| Assistant Ohio County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Campbell, far right, explains to FEMA team members that the city sanitation crews have removed most of the debris and mud from the flooding on Wheeling Island.

After viewing a presentation by Ohio County Emergency Management Director Lou Vargo on the flood damage in the area, a Federal Emergency Management Agency team set off on Monday to tour and assess the houses damaged by flooding and landslips.

FEMA team members, Small Business Administration officials and West Virginia Emergency Management Department members attended Monday morning’s meeting at the City-County building. Ohio County and Wheeling representatives at the meeting included Vargo, Assistant Ohio County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Campbell, Assistant City Manager Bill Lanham and Ohio County Planning and GIS Coordinator Dave Weaver.

Ohio County EMA has already completed and sent a Preliminary Damage Assessment to FEMA. The FEMA team’s visit on Monday was to verify the information in the PDA and look for more damage in the area to create a Complete Damage Assessment.

The FEMA team’s CDA is the next step in acquiring a record of damage to be submitted for the presidential declaration of a national disaster in West Virginia. The CDA will include buildings affected by the flooding, from those destroyed to those that received only minor damage.

“We will be looking at damage to houses and giving them some degree of damage,” summarized FEMA Damage Assessment Leader Rhonda Meggitt. “We’re just going to tally all that information for the state to use to possibly get a presidential declaration of disaster.

Damage to houses and properties will be sorted into the categories of “minor, moderate and major/destroyed.” Vargo noted the extent of the damage to houses will play a “big factor” in the FEMA team’s assessment.

“Whether just the basement of your house flooded or your house was destroyed, there are different levels to the damage of this flooding,” explained Vargo. “There’s no question when you see some of the pictures of the houses damaged from the landslips that the damage in some areas is major.”

Once the Ohio County FEMA team completes their CDA report, they will meet with other county FEMA teams to complete a comprehensive report of all the flood damage in West Virginia.

This report will be sent to Region Three FEMA Head Maryann Tierney to determine whether the damage meets Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act criteria.

If the report meets this criteria, Tierney will contact President Joe Biden to review the damage report and decide whether to declare a national disaster in West Virginia.

If Biden declares a national disaster in West Virginia, individual and public assistance can be distributed throughout the state. Residents can apply for FEMA reimbursement, with Vargo giving the example of residents being refunded for the cost of a washer, dryer, or furnace that was damaged in the flood.

Small Business Association officials were also present at the meeting and during the tour of the damage to see what local businesses would need assistance from the flooding.

The timeline for this funding’s distribution is unclear, with Vargo explaining that the distribution is a “long process.”

At the beginning of Monday’s meeting with the FEMA team, Vargo traced the flooding back to April 4 when Ohio County received three inches of rainfall.

“I think the important thing to remember here is that up to (Acrisure Stadium) in Pittsburgh, that’s our whole watershed,” said Vargo. “They had over four inches of rain in that area so all that rain comes down here and adds to our river levels.”

Vargo explained that as they prepared for the flooding on that Thursday, they had six water rescues that night. On Friday morning, Ohio County EMA received word of people on Wheeling Island and South Wheeling who could not escape their houses due to the flooding and reports of 60 flooded basements.

Meggitt then asked how many residential structures are on Wheeling Island. Weaver responded that there were over 1,100 structures, including 900 residential structures.

Vargo then displayed photos of flooded areas of South Wheeling, including the Wheeling Water Pollution Control Plant, which suffered “major damage.”

A FEMA team member questioned whether the plant was privately owned or owned by the government, and Vargo confirmed that the plant was government-owned. Following this answer, Meggitt explained that they would only need to see damage to residential areas and businesses.

“I know the state is thinking about requesting public assistance damage assessments, but that hasn’t happened yet,” explained Meggitt. “We’re not able to capture government-owned properties because of that. Businesses and homes are what we would like to see.”

Another aspect of the flooding Vargo touched on in his presentation was that the Ohio River crested above flood stages at 37.8 feet within 10 days of its initial peak of 41.49 feet.

“This was the first time in 37 years I’ve been doing this that we’ve had a second river crest in less than two weeks,” said Vargo. “Our public works department did a phenomenal job of debris removal that first week and then that Saturday they’re being called up again. It’s just been a unique thing that we’ve never seen before.”

Vargo then displayed photos of houses on Park View Road and Church Street in Wheeling that were destroyed by landslips caused by excessive rain. FEMA members chimed in with questions regarding whether the houses had been occupied and/or renovated before the landslips.

Next, Vargo presented photos of the landslip at Mount Zion Cemetery, which destroyed nearly 200 gravestones.

Following the meeting, the FEMA team would head to the landslip locations Vargo presented to assess the damage. The team would also visit three other houses in Warwood damaged by another landslip now spreading laterally in the area.

At the conclusion of Vargo’s presentation of damage, the meeting’s discussion turned to how FEMA, state and county officials would tour the damage together. The group decided to cover the spots that were most affected based on the height of flood water in the area.

Meggitt explained that to assess the list of homes that had been flooded, the team may just drive by some areas to review the damage.

“Basically, a lot of these houses are doing to have the same damage,” noted Meggitt, who then asked whether the Ohio County EMA had collected the extent of the damage to houses.

Vargo responded that 20 to 30 residents had completed a survey regarding the damage to their house. Surveyors rated their damage on a scale of 1 to 3, with 3 being the most accrued.

For residents in flooded areas who did not fill out the survey, Meggitt explained that they would still thoroughly survey each area.

“Just because they didn’t call in their damage doesn’t mean we’re not going to assess the whole area,” noted Meggitt.

After the meeting adjourned, two cars containing a federal/state official, county official and Small Business Association member departed from the City-County Building to assess the flood damage.

Vargo explained that the “big thing” the FEMA team would accomplish during the tour is collecting the addresses of damaged houses. Weaver will then take these addresses and create a spreadsheet to assess how many houses were damaged and in which areas of the county.

A review of flood damage in Marshall and Wetzel counties will be performed today by the FEMA team.

Surge in Adventure Tourism: Four Big Trends in 2024

Jesse Chase-Lubitz , Skift

April 17th, 2024 at 12:00 PM EDT

New data shows that experiences are the leading factor when choosing a destination.

Jesse Chase-Lubitz

The latest consumer spending data from GetYourGuide reveals a surge in demand for unique travel experiences and activities that align with personal passions.

The report analyzes booking data from millions of travelers and highlights a significant shift in travel priorities. Here are the key takeaways:

Experiences Rule

Travelers are prioritizing experiences over traditional sightseeing. Nearly all travelers (90%) plan to spend the same or more on activities in 2024, and experiences are now the leading factor when choosing a destination (reported by 98% of travelers).

Passion Drives Destinations

The hottest travel destinations are no longer just about iconic landmarks. Cities like Fajardo, Puerto Rico (up 419% in bookings by American travelers) and Hoi An, Vietnam (up 284% globally) are experiencing a boom, likely due to their unique cultural offerings and adventure opportunities.

Globally Inspired

Travelers are venturing beyond the usual suspects. This year’s top trending tours include the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, kayaking through El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico, and even a hot air balloon ride over Interlaken, Switzerland.

The Rise of the Explorer

GetYourGuide identifies a new breed of traveler – the “Explorer” – who spends more on experiences, takes longer trips, and travels more frequently. These high-value vacationers are fueling the experience economy.
