Little Simz: How to get tickets to rapper’s 2023 North American tour

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Little Simz has announced her 10-date North American tour, happening this fall.

This marks the British rapper’s first time touring across the pond since 2019. She was originally scheduled to embark on a 10-date North American tour in the spring of 2022, but had to cancel it for financial reasons .

Now, a year later, on Monday (10 April), Little Simz shared the “exciting” news of her 2023 North American tour, in support of her latest album No Thank You.

“It’s been a long time. Appreciate your love and patience excited to announce my NO THANK YOU North American tour!” she wrote on Instagram.

The “NO THANK YOU” tour will kick off on 20 September in Chicago before making stops in Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, Silver Spring and eventually concluding in New York on 13 October.

For more information about how to land a ticket to see the 29-year-old perform live, read below:

When do tickets go on sale?

Artist and Spotify presale tickets will go on sale on Tuesday (11 April), beginning at 10am EDT, followed by venue presale tickets on Wednesday (12 April) at 10am EDT.

Tickets for the general public open on Thursday (13 April) at 10am EDT.

Where can I purchase tickets?

According to Little Simz, tickets can be purchased through her personal website littlesimz.com . However, Ticketmaster and AXS will also be selling legitimate tickets as well.

Little Simz’s previously cancelled 2022 North American Tour was originally in support of her 2021 album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.

“Being an independent artist, I pay for everything encompassing my live performances out of my own pocket and touring the US for a month would leave me in a huge deficit,” she said at the time.

Little Simz – Sometimes I Might Be Introvert Tour with Alewya and OTG // Bristol, UK // December 2nd 2021

little simz tour support

Little Simz Sometimes I Might Be Introvert Tour Support Acts: Alewya and OTG O2 Academy Bristol Bristol, UK 2nd December 2021 British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz brought her ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert Tour’ to the O2 Academy in Bristol (UK) on 2nd December 2021 which was SOLD OUT. This is the tour following the release of her most recent album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ which was released in September 2021. Little Simz, real name being ‘Simbiatu Abisola Abiola Ajikawo’ is a British-Nigerian rapper from Islington, which is a borough in North London, UK. Simz has collaborated with the likes of Gorrilaz, Becky Hill, Raleigh Ritchie and Mahalia. She has toured with Gorrilaz, Anderdon Paak, Ab-Soul and Lauryn Hill and has caught the attention of Kendrick Lamar who said in an interview on BBC Radio 1 that “There’s a young lady out here that’s pretty dope by the name of Little Simz,” and that “She might be the illest doing it right now.” That is a rather big accreditation if I say so myself and it’s not surprising that she is catching the attention of rapper’s like Kendrick as her lyricism and storytelling in her music is phenomenal. To date Little Simz has got four studio albums released, the first being released in 2015 and her latest came out in September this year. My personal favourite songs I recommend by Simz are: Selfish, I Love You – I Hate You, Woman, Point and Kill and Venom which was used for the soundtrack in the recent film ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’. I was really excited to get the opportunity to photograph and see Little Simz perform live, luckily I didn’t have to travel too far either to see her which was a bonus. Before Simz took to the stage, the fans were treated to a supporting act by the name of ‘Alewya’, her music was incredible and I really liked her style. Alewya was originally born in Saudi Arabia but moved with her family to West London as refugees when she was five years old. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Alewya perform, I’d previously not heard of her and this is what I like about artists allowing musicians to support them because we get the chance to see upcoming new talent and it’s really exciting. I could definitely hear Middle Eastern influences in her music and it left me wanting to hear more of her music after she finished her set which started at 8:00 PM and finished at 8:30 PM. Some songs you should definitely check out are Sweating, Spirit_X and where’s my lighter which also has Little Simz in the song. Little Simz took to the stage at around 9:00 PM and her set lasted until 10:45 PM, I honestly have never seen a musician perform a set this long before and I was completely ecstatic about it. Simz put one heck of a show on in Bristol and I didn’t want the night to be over, she was accompanied by a live band which made all of her performances impeccable…the sound on the night was absolutely perfect. Great job to the Sound team! Simz arrived on stage in a tracksuit and sunglasses (as seen in my images) and later changed her outfit, I wish I was able to take photos after she changed but unfortunately you’re only allowed to photograph the first 3 songs only before having to exit the pit area and return to the crowd. After taking my photos of Simz I struggled to get through the crowd with my camera equipment/bag as by this time the venue was completely full to the brim. Fortunately, the security at the O2 Academy in Bristol allowed me to go backstage and exit the venue at the side door and drop my equipment/bag off at the box office at the entrance to the venue so I could enjoy the rest of the show without carrying my camera equipment. I entered the crowd and could barely move, I had to keep re-positioning myself to actually get a glimpse of Little Simz performing for the rest of the show. This is one of those moments where you wish you were taller to get the best view of the artist performing haha. The vibe was really nice throughout the show and it was lovely to see so many people dancing along to Simz music and having a great evening. Hopefully, this will continue to be possible considering coronavirus, unfortunately, is still very much around here in the UK. It wasn’t only the sound production that was great at this show, the lighting was also really good and you could definitely tell a lot of effort was put into both. OTG who is a rapper from East London was brought out by Little Simz at 21:45 PM to spit some bars off his latest EP. He performed his song ‘Pragmatic’ accompanied by Little Simz on stage and they also performed his song ‘PACK a PUNCH’ which Simz is actually featured on. It was nice to see Simz giving her friends and future upcoming musicians a chance to perform for so many people, she also made sure that she shouted out each member of her live band at the show and also thanked Alewya and OTG. Little Simz ended the show with two of her biggest hits which were Venom and Woman. The entire show was a masterpiece and I can’t wait to see Simz perform again, she is one of those artists who sounds just as good live as she does on her records.

RB Kitaj Piano Nobile, London, to 26 January This painter who was part of – and helped come up with the idea for – the “school of London” was a contemporary of David Hockney, Leon Kossoff and Frank Auerbach. His paintings ambitiously mix contemporary settings, pop immediacy and history. Is he ripe for rediscovery, 16 years after his death?

Tate Britain, London, 8 November to 7 April This historical survey of feminist art in Britain from the 1970s to 1990 shows how conceptualism interfolded with activism in the era of Greenham Common. Paddy Young Soho theatre, London, 9 to 11 November; 15 to 20 January Young had a stonking Edinburgh thanks to the success of his debut show Hungry, Horny, Scared, which milked laughs from his Scarborough upbringing and “that there” London’s ridiculous rental market – catnip for anyone who spent their 20s in a freezing hovel with only an overheating laptop for company. Rachel Aroesti

Manic Street Creature Southwark Playhouse, London, to 11 November The Olivier-nominated Maimuna Memon brings her semi-autobiographical mix of theatre and gig to London after an award-winning Edinburgh run last year. Gemma Arterton in Culprits

Culprits Disney+, 8 November Of all the phenomena film and TV are determined to overrepresent, the heist has to be up there. This new series from director J Blakeson (I Care A Lot) is set post-robbery, as the top criminal crew responsible find themselves pursued by an assassin. Gemma Arterton, Eddie Izzard star.

The Buccaneers Apple TV+, 8 November Anyone who found the rollicking Bridgerton too staid will be all over this new YA-vibed period drama about a group of American teens invited to 1870s London for the match-making “season”. It’s an adaptation of Edith Wharton’s unfinished final novel by comedian Katherine Jakeways.

Shakespeare: Rise of A Genius BBC One & iPlayer, 8 November, 9pm It’s been 400 years, but we’re still not bored of the Bard. This three-part documentary - the “centrepiece” of the Beeb’s celebration of Shakespeare’s first folio - aims to unearth new insights into his life and times with input from actors (Helen Mirren, Brian Cox) and academics (James Shapiro, Ewan Fernie).

Hullraisers Channel 4, 9 November, 10pm A second series for this (you guessed it!) Hull-set sitcom, which was originally developed by the city’s No 1 comic ambassador, Lucy Beaumont. Now left in the hands of Caroline Moran (Henpocalypse!) and Anne-Marie O’Connor, it continues to chronicle the uproariously messy entanglements of besties Toni, Rana and Paula. RA

Kevin Abstract

Kevin Abstract – Blanket Out now The erstwhile Brockhampton frontman releases his new solo album, the first since 2019’s Arizona Baby. Sidestepping the hip-hop sound of his former band, the scratchier, more guitar-leaning, Blanket recalls Sunny Day Real Estate, Nirvana and Modest Mouse, scene-setting lead single Blanket being a two-minute blast of alt-rock.

Bar Italia – The Twits Out now Feted London-based trio Bar Italia, AKA Nina Cristante, Sam Fenton and Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, return with their second album of 2023. As with May’s Tracey Denim, The Twits is a heady mix of post-punk, shoegaze, 90s alt-rock and grunge, delivered with interplaying vocals from all three.

Jungkook – Golden Out now With his K-pop boyband juggernaut BTS on hiatus, vocalist Jungkook unleashes this debut solo album, featuring production input from Diplo and BloodPop. While recent Top 5 single 3D channels Justified-era Justin Timberlake, this summer’s UK garage-aping Seven updates Craig David’s sex-rota anthem, 7 Days.

Tkay Maidza – Sweet Justice Out now Australian singer and rapper Maidza adds 14 more DayGlo slabs of top-tier R&B and hip-hop to her discography via this pulsating second album. Recent single Out of Luck, featuring Amber Mark and Lolo Zouaï, is all featherlight disco ball shimmers, while the Flume-assisted Silent Assassin is a playful yet bowel-rupturing banger. MC

Little Simz Announces 2023 North American Tour

Little Simz has announced a Fall 2023 tour, marking her first North American dates since 2019.

Kicking off in Chicago on September 20th, the 10-city trek will also make stops in Atlanta, Portland, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, and more before wrapping in New York City on October 13th. See the full schedule below.

Tickets are available via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

The British-Nigerian rapper had originally planned to play many of these cities last year, but canceled that tour while citing financial and mental strain. Instead, she put out another excellent album in NO THANK YOU and its accompanying short film of the same name.

More recently, Little Simz performed “Heart on Fire” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and released a tour documentary called On Stage Off Stage .

The dates come in support of Simz’ fourth album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, which is set to arrive on September 3.

“I wanted to just let people know like, yo, I’m actually this way inclined…being this introverted person that has all these crazy thoughts and ideas and theories in my head and not always feeling like I’m able to express it if it’s not through my art,” she previously said of the record.
