Looks great to me. I would like to know how it rides. Trying to make mine ride smoother.  

How much wider does it make the front end? And it's not even a lift kit? I can't see anyone spending that kind of money just to run 33" tires IMO

A little overpriced for a glorified widening kit which doesn't even include the shocks  

That price is cheap for a longtravel kit. Any LT Kit for any truck will be 3k-5k without shocks. Just to do a basic LT Kit front to back on most trucks will set you back 10k Min. This one should prolly lift it about 4-5" I would bet about 4" wider each side and clear 37" tires with fiberglass fender. I'm just shooting of my hip from experience, I haven't seen one of these kits, but I would like too. Might tear mine down and rebuild it with this stuff after I just got it dialed in.

I think this is a great price for a pretty straight forward LT Kit. I talked to Chris at KOR and he said it increases the width 2 1/4" on each side. I am seriously considering this kit.  

Looks really good. I bet it doesn't widen it as much as you think it does. Look how much further down that arm hangs than stock.  

...Still mounts in the stock location tho...and pics are of it drooped  

what spring rate do you guys use? Does it blow thru the travel?  

Sooooo how are the axle angles going to be handled?  

That's a 4wd truck though.. im sure it fits, the shock looks offset to the front and the cv axle is small right there anyhow. probably just takes some maneuvering to get in.  

He is using stock CV's with extended axle shafts just like the pure performance kit.  

This KOR kit is pretty cool. Raptor killer maybe. KOR needs to provide better specs and maybe a video on the finished product. IMHO

Awesome! I fear the HD trucks can get a little heavy to make true use of an LT suspension, but it should make for an awesome chaser/tow-rig and/or Raptor-killer. I'd love to run this kit with cut-out flares and 35's on H2 wheels (if they can be used).  

So the kit price was raised from 2800 to 4000?  

Agree on being able to use the H2, but KOR says 4 1/2 BS. Watch the video on YouTube and pay attention to the upper control arm, running the H2 looks impossible as their will be clearance issue.  

Guy I don't think you should compare Cognito with KOR. This is like comparing apples and oranges. Cognito is the top of the line in suspension lift and performance lifts for our trucks. They lift your truck while making you front end much stronger and reliable but really doesn't change the geometry or overall design of the suspension. KOR on the other hand is not made to lift the truck much at all but rather increases travel and width and off road performance. KOR also appears to be much stronger component wise than stock but time will tell if the frame can take the added stress of coilovers. These kits are for two totally different target markets. Cognito is at the top of the list in their market and KOR is starting a whole new market for our trucks but so far I am super impressed. Put into orbit by iPhone.

Just my .02 here but I can attest to wearing out hubs a lot easier as well as having a hell of a time keeping CV axles in a long-travel kit with these heavy trucks. Keep in mind I have the Fabtech system(discontinued) on my truck and I destroyed the CV axles that they supplied with my kit within a month of it being in the truck. I ended up trying a set of axles from RCV performance and they didn't last me much longer. I actually ended up not running CV axles for quite awhile. I hope these newer kits being offered are better than the s**t I have. Before you guys knock my driving style, keep in mind I never did anything crazy like try to jump my truck or hitting whoops at 60mph.  

I'm surprised to hear the RCV's didn't last. I would have bet money they would take the abuse. What let go on them?  

Just checked and the price is $4500 now.

Mid-travel/long travel options, 2500HD 4x4?

I see lots of stuff for 2wds', but nothing for 4x4's. It almost seems that I'd be better off trying to get a 4-linked D60 under there instead of a traditional IFS long-travel suspension from a longevity standpoint. The truck won't get jumped (hopefully) but it's definitely going to be playing the role of chase truck; We had an accident out at Sand Mtn that required medical attention, luckily we had the Terex else it would have been pretty bad. I'd like to have something that can get in and out relatively quick through the dunes should something like that happen again and a Razr/Terex/Rhino isn't available.

its not that the trucks arent thought about but they are a pain in the ass to work with. not only do you have to take into thought steering, you have to think about cv angle and your multiple limitations with that and trying to keep the cost down. if you want a good 4wd long travel kit you would have to ditch the whole front end and start over with a narrow center section diff and expensive cv's$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. 2wd keep cost somewhat reasonable. honestly if i was to build a chase truck that i wanted 4wd i would throw a dana 60 or possibly dana 80 and 4/3 link it with a coilover and bypass on each corner. look at the kore dodges, they run basically the same setup with very short links and they perform well. dont be stuck on travel. it doesnt mean shit(too an extent), just makes shock tuning easier. stronger a arms and big valvable shocks can do allot for you.

dixon is not making kits anymore..... bbr is going to start making kits once he gets a donor truck...wich should be this summer.  

if there are no current kits available on the market right now, i would just do the SAS. in this particular case, i think it would be the cheaper and quicker alternative.

I know this is way out there, but the Fabtech 9" kit appears to be a decient mid travel kit. Replaces uppers and lowers, plus ditches the torsion bars in favor of coilovers, looks like some air or hydraulic bumps too. Probably the closest you'll get to a complete mid-travel kit for the 2500's. After checking their website it looks like maybe its been discontinued as I do not see it listed.  

Sounds like a decent SAS may be better. Guess it's time to call the local off-road shop and see what they'll charge to put a linked D60 under it...  

Solid axles can be plenty fast. For the intended use I would also look into going that route.

ok i got a 2008 2500HD D-Max Z-71 4X4 and im willing to have some one tinker to try and solve this i have seen the fabtec kit and there is another one out there but to be honest not a fan of the price tag at all looking at 10k just for parts then have to get it on there so... ya might as well just buy a used S-10 and tow it to ware your going to play with the D-Max i have been looking in to this for a bit now and this is what i see the lower control arms for the 1500 and 2500 mount the place the upper control arm of the 2500 is larger than the 1500 so the kits for the 1500 the uppers are useless but the lowers will work fine just good luck getting readylift or baja kits to send you just the lower you would have to fab the upper control arm due to the angel you would need it to meet with your mid travel lower control arm then you have to beef up the shock post in order to hold the coil-over and the D-Max front end up then must drop down the transfer case and extend your axles to meet meet with your wider stance as well as your steering then after all of that you can get your king coil-overs and spend weeks dialing them in and that is just the front however if you can overcome all of this at a good price point you could make some good money on the side by selling the kits as every single group for the 2500 has at least 2 or 3 posts about this and seams to have people hanging on every word waiting for the kit that is not 10k+ installed

Yes I did call it a transfer case instead of a front diff lol thanks for the correction also there is in fact two kits out there for all who are still looking one of witch I ordered. As for the last gen trucks not being worth the time I beg to differ the amount of money one spends on getting power out of a Duramax is steep with the deletes injectors turbos piping trans efi live and so on your a good 20K over your cost of purchasing the truck by the time you have a good drive train I myself am at the 100k mark with buying the truck and upgrades to the various components so trading in ones diesel happens far less than one might think if nothing else just from a monetary stand point I my self have no plans to go for the 14-17 any time soon however I digress the kit I ordered is from killer off road and looks to be a beast fabtec also makes a kit that are still floating around out there if you want to go with them both kits can be found here https://www.dezertdepot.com/product/killer-off-road-chevygmc-hd-mid-travel-suspension https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/fabtech-9in-system-with-long-travel-rear-chevrolet-silverado-2500-0106-p-50762.html After looking in to both kits killer off road seams to be the better kit the fabtec kit has some problems as wear the killer off road kit has really good reviews and you can order king coil overs or fox coil overs with the killer off road kit so I purchased the killer off road kit I hope this helps any who are looking
