Botswana and Falls Overland: Wildlife Walks & Safari Drives Tour

Botswana and Falls Overland: Wildlife Walks & Safari Drives

A trip of a lifetime! We visited amazing places with jawdropping scenery. The Okavango delta is an absolute must, such as Victoria falls. The tour was camping all the way, but the campsites were clean and well equipped. The CEOs were professional, funny with good knowledge of history, nature, culture and politics. They cooked very well too. It is a fast paced tour but this is the only way to squeeze so much into two weeks.

Best Of Egypt - 5* Cruise

We just got back from the 10 day Best of Egypt tour and I have to say, it was amazing. Our guide Ray/Remon was absolutely outstanding- he helped us with any and everything we possibly needed, was super knowledgeable, was always available via WhatsApp anytime we weren't with him, and most of all, advised us on tours and activities that would keep us safe and would not end up with us getting scammed, which was very relieving. The tour itself was very rigorous for the first few days, lots of early mornings and lots of bus travel time, but you get to see the majority of the TOP sights in Egypt in a short amount of time, which was important to us as we didn't have more than 10 days of vacation time to spend. The weather was beautiful except for the day we were supposed to take the hot air balloon ride in Luxor, which was a disappointment, but you can't control when it rains! Overall I would highly recommend this trip to anyone and i would DEFINITELY request Ray/Remon to be your guide. He really was the cherry on top of an already incredible trip!

Queen Cleopatra - 7 days Tour

Queen Cleopatra - 7 days

Myself and my brother travelled to Egypt and joined the Cleopatra tour. We were picked up from the airport and brought to our Hotel in the city centre by Tahrir Square. Hotel was good. Breakfast was nice with plenty of variety. The hotel is very close to the Egyptian Museum. We went for a walk around the area, we felt safe. But the traffic is crazy and you have to be careful crossing the road. People just walk out into the road and dodge the cars to get to the other side. . Following day we were picked up from our hotel in a mini bus and met all our other fellow traveller. They turned out to be a great bunch and we all got along great and made some friends for life I think. We were brought to the Pyramids where we got to go inside the great pyramid. Rides some camels and see the Spinx. Wow. Amazing place. We then went for lunch in the city were we had Kosery, it was really tasty. Then we headed to the Egptian museum. Where Suailla gave us a great tour.. Then we were dropped to the train station for our over night train to Aswan. All I can say is it was an experience. Do it if you are on a budget or just want to experience it. But if you can afford it upgrade to the plane. Not the most comfy ride and fairly noisy. The give you an hot evening meal in your room and a cold breakfast in the morning. The food wasn't all that bad tho. We were picked up in Aswan by our guide Wael. From the second we met him to the time we said goodbye at the end of our tour he had us in stitches, what a lovely caring intelligence guy. He is actually a professor in Egyptology . Not just a tour guide. He looked after us all the time and even upgraded some other members hotels or transfers. We were brought to our boat on the Nile, which I have to say was amazing. The boat was clean, modern

Magic of Egypt (with free All inclusive upgrade hurghada hotel) 12 Days

This was one of the best vacation experiences I have had in my life. Tony, Dr. Nasser and Aymana were the most professional hosts that provided an outstanding level of customer experience. We were in Egypt for 14 days, with visits to Cairo, Luxor, Edfu, Abu Simbel and then the breathtaking beauty of the Red Sea in Hurghada. Let me also add that when we returned to Cario we also visited Memphis Saqqara and Dr. Nasser's ability to explain and describe the history of Egypt in great detail. Closing the trip out with the visit to the Civilization Museum increased my understanding of every tour we had visited with full circle understanding. In advance of your travel please take time to study and read up on the history of Egypt to assist with your travel experience.

This was a brilliant trip organised by a more professional tour company. Thank you travel talk for the recent trip/experience that you organised for us. Your service is much more appreciated now that we can compare what you have done for us as compared with other tour operators like GeTS Holidays. Your brochure is far more transparent and accurate. You give your customers a better chance to take ownership of the trip as you highlight immediately what type of accommodation your customer will have and this gives your customer a chance to review and research your offering. By doing this, you show that you value your customers’ preference and satisfaction over making money. Of course every business should make a profit but at least your company do not come across as daylight robbery. We looked at your trips to India but did not choose your trips due to unavailability of Diwali Festival celebration. We went for a more expensive company but gave us very poor service. It’s a shame, we should have just stuck with you. One thing guaranteed, we look forward to booking with you again in the future and we will also be an ambassador to your brilliant service.

Africa is home to the finest wildlife spectacles in the world.  From the north to the south, the continent has amazing  areas to see the worlds  natural world.

Amazing Fauna and Flora in the North Africa The Atlas mountains in Morocco are home to magnificent and exotic wild flowers during spring and harbor many endangered birds. Southwards of the Atlas, the  Banc D’Arguin in Mauritania  attract many bird-watching enthusiasts. This wetland is a sanctuary to millions of migratory warders.

Along the Mediterranean sea, there are the spectacular coral reefs that let you enjoy relaxed diving in the red sea.

Gorillas and Wolves Moving further south from the Atlas towards the Congo Basin, you find the forest elephant and lowland gorillas while the pristine rainforest of Gabon given you the exceptional chance to see the lowland gorillas. Further bird-watching safaris in Senegal.  This is  before moving on to the escarpment and plateau of the Bale and Simien mountains where you find the  gelada baboon, wail ibex and the endemic Ethiopian wolf.

Chimps, Gorillas,  Cats  and  the Great  Rift Valley From the north  the Mediterranean, enter Rwanda and Uganda, the territory of apes and primates. Here the   mountain Gorillas claim the high ground, while the Great Rift Valley is seen at its most majestic in the volcano-pimpled plains of the Serengeti-Mara. The Great  Rift Valley lakes are renowned as hotspots of huge  biodiversity, and none more so than  Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi with their endemic communities of colorful cichlid fish.

Chimpanzees are also found in forests along the shores of Lake Tanganyika – Gombe Stream National park, while the vast virgin wilderness reserves of Selous and Ruaha in southern Tanzania promise some of Africa’s best wildlife safari experiences, with high standard of guiding. The same is true for Zambia’s Luangwa Valley where you will be led through beautiful scenery on unforgettable walking African safaris.  Kenya remains a contender for the enviable position of number one destination for African Wildlife safaris – offering great destinations like the Masai Mara Game Reserve and Amboseli.  Offshore, the eastern Africa Coast is fringed by splendid coral reefs and white sandy beaches of Zanzibar and Mombasa, and the Seychelles and Mauritius offshore .

Majestic Falls and Deltas Victoria Falls is a highlight of any visit to Africa and the  Zambezi Valley, but there national parks upstream and downstream of the falls with superb lodge and activities ranging from canoeing to night drives. Botswana’s Okavango Delta is one of Africa’s most magical safari destinations – a verdant on the edge of the Kalahari.

Wildlife of Namib Desert is mainly confined to the coast, although a good guide will help you track down desert Elephant, Rhino and Gemsbok in remote tracts of Damaraland and Kaokoland.

On the south eastern part of Africa  along the shoreline, you find  wildlife-rich archipelagos, like the Quirimbas of Mozambique.les have reefs, seabirds, giant tortoises and the coco-de-mer palm. For pure island magic and lemurs galore, head to Madagascar.

Down South, South Africa’s natural treasures cover everything from the proteas of the Cape Floral  Kingdom to Kruger’s Big 5 and  the sharks along the wild Coast.

Africa multi-active tours

Hiker in Drakensberg Mountains

There’s more than one way to go on safari

We like to mix things up in  Africa  – a little horse-riding on the beach here, some desert trekking there, maybe a cheeky detour for a swim in a volcanic lake. Why search for zebras and ring-tailed lemurs from a Jeep when you can see them from a mountain bike, or on your own two feet? We venture into the canyons and gorges of  Madagascar , the High Atlas Mountains of  Morocco , and the off-grid wilderness of  South Africa  – but not so off-grid we can’t enjoy a glass of the local pinotage. Multi-active adventures in Africa are about breaking a sweat and having a roaring old time. Leave your binoculars at the door.

Our Africa multi-active trips

Africa multi-active highlights, why choose us.

We’ve been running our Active Adventures for over a decade, which means we know the best local suppliers and experts on the ground to give you an exciting and safe experience.

Don’t know what a carabiner is? Or how to secure a harness? No worries! Our experienced local leaders will show you the ropes and give you safety briefings – while also showing you the sights.

Our leaders are specially trained to run Active Adventures, so you're well taken care of. We run safety assessments on all our activities to meet local standards as well as our own comprehensive safety policy.

Our trips are about discovering a new destination and unlocking new skills – like horse riding, canyoneering or mountain biking. They're designed to teach you something new (and maybe even make you an enthusiast, too!).

We use travel as a force for good. We have close relationships with the communities we visit and always use local adventure providers on our trips. By traveling with us, you'll also be empowering local communities.

We strive to use travel as a force for good. That’s why we choose to give back to the communities we visit, carbon offset all our trips and take our social and environmental responsibilities seriously. We’ve been officially certified as the world’s largest travel B Corp, which means when you choose Intrepid Travel, you can rest assured you’re traveling to improve the planet.
