First of all, wish you a very Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Holiday season with your loved ones!
I’ve to admit that it took me forever to write this post about my epic road trip of 2017 to the east coast of the United States. I wanted to publish this post last month but was too occupied with work and with the pressure of Holiday season and vacation, just couldn’t make it!
So let me share with you my epic road trip of 2017! It started from my hometown in Tampa, FL during the last weekend of August and ended in mid-September. Those 20 days were the ultimate experience in itself as we drove more than 2500 miles, covered 12 States, explored 8 major cities, witnessed more than 50 attractions and made endless memories!
Here’s list of some amazing places that we visited on our epic road trip!
1) Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL
2) st. augustine, fl, 3) savannah, ga.
On Day 4 of our trip, we started bright and early on our way to Savannah — the oldest city in Georgia. Savannah is around 175 miles from St. Augustine and it took us 3 hours to reach there.
Savannah is famous for its magnificent architectures and ironworks, majestic garden squares, beautiful fountains, colorful streets with Live Oak trees and Spanish Moss dripping from the drooping branches as well as the Southern charm and hospitality.
I already visited Savannah in July for a weekend getaway . Therefore visiting again to this charming city was an ultimate treat in itself! We spent 2 days in Savannah. And I lost 4 pounds just by walking in this city as there are so many things that you can explore on your foot.
4) Charleston, SC
On Day 7, we started for Charleston which is 106 miles from Savannah. It took us around 2 hours to reach there. We drove on I-95 N and US-17 N and reached Charleston around 10:00 AM.
Charleston is one of my favorite cities on the East Coast with Southern belle charm, historic architecture, cobblestone streets lined with palmetto trees and world-class culinary that has all the power to entice its first-time visitor. In 2016, Charleston earned its reputation as the “World’s Best City” by Travel+Leisure magazine.
We spent only a day in Charleston as we already went there during the last Independence Day Weekend . Moreover, our family was all excited to visit the capital of the United States as soon as we could!
On Day 8, we started early from Charleston and headed to our next destination which was Washington D.C! It was a long journey of around 9 hours. The distance between Charleston and D.C. is almost 530 miles. We took I-95 N but we found heavy traffic in North Carolina and Virginia that took us 14 hours to reach D.C.
Everyone was so tired that as soon as we reached our hotel, we dumped our luggage and hit our beds! No matter how comfortable your car is, sitting in a limited posture for a long time is quite a tedious task…isn’t it?
5) Washington D.C.
View this post on Instagram Washington D.C. is always an overwhelming experience. It is Day 9 of my roadtrip today and Day 2 in DC. Yesterday was bright and sunny with temperature below 70. Today it was raining throughout the day, so spent all the time at museums on the National Mall and totally loved it! . If you're in DC, do visit #hirshorn Museum and see AI WEIWEI @aiww Exhibits of incredible Lego portraits that will leave you spellbound! 😍 . . Also, do watch my IG stories these few days to get the glimpse of this epic road trip!☺ . . . . . . . . #washingtondc #washingtondctrip #visitwashingtondc #roadtrip #sheisnotlost #dametraveler #passionpassport #styletraveler #roadtripusa #travelgrams #explorerbabes #femaletravelbloggers #styletraveler #traveldeeper #styleblogger #welltraveled #neverstopexploring #whatiamwearing #thetravelwomen #iamtb #stayandwander #citylimitless #wiwt #travelbug #travelingourplanet #abmtravels #girlsjustwannatravel #igworldclub #ladiesgoneglobal #girlswhotravel A post shared by Ana's World | Ana Ojha ❤🧡💚💙💜🖤 (@ana__s__world) on Aug 29, 2017 at 4:36pm PDT
It was a Day 9 of our trip and everyone in our family was excited to explore what Nation’s capital had to offer! I already went to Washington D.C. before so I was all clear in my mind as what are the attractions I wanted to explore! We spent 3 days in D.C. and totally enjoyed it!
On Day 12, we left from D.C. to see the greatest city in the world – The Big Apple! NYC is 277 miles away from DC via I-95 N but we took I-95 N and NJ Tpke to save time as well as we had to pick up one of our cousins from the airport who was coming from Chicago to meet us. Yes! It was quite a family reunion! 🙂
6) New York, NY
We enjoyed our Day 12, 13, 14 and 15 in the Big Apple. I have to confess that once you travel the entire East Coast, you won’t like any city more than New York ! The city has all the power to make its first-time visitor go insane! It was my fifth visit to the city and soaking the Manhattan vibes was the best part of my trip! Though driving in Manhattan is a crazy experience in itself. If you’re fond of driving, I challenge you to try your driving skills in Midtown Manhattan!
7) Boston, MA
In the evening of Day 15, we started for Boston which is 217 miles from the New York City. It took us 5 hours to reach Boston via I-95 N and I-90 E. We spent only one day in Boston and explored the attractions of its downtown. We also met few of my friends in Boston and had an amazing time.
8) Philadelphia, PA
In Philadelphia, we stopped for few hours and went to see only Liberty Bell, Rocky Balboa statue as well as strolled in the downtown. We left Philly in the evening and headed to our next destination Baltimore in Maryland. The distance between Philly and Baltimore is around 100 miles and it took us 2 hours to reach Baltimore via I-95 S.
9) Baltimore, MD
View this post on Instagram Happy First Day of Fall everyone!🍁🍂 . . Though in Florida, we have Summer🌞 throughout the year. . This pic is from my epic road trip to the East Coast last month. I spent a day in Baltimore and really loved it! . . . . ——————————————————————————— Dress details – This beautiful floral embroidery dress is from @just_fashion_official and it is one of my favorites! ——————————————————————————— . . . . . . . . . #baltimore #maryland #visitbaltimore #styletraveler #sheisnotlost #femaletravelbloggers #styleblogger #whatiwore #floraldress #whatiamwearing #trendalert #stylelookbook #fashiongram #stylegram #dametraveler #fashioninsta #abmtravels #streetstyle #fashionlife #ootdstyle #lovethislook #wearetravelgirls #travelgrams #passionpassport #fashiontrend #tampablogger A post shared by Ana's World | Ana Ojha ❤🧡💚💙💜🖤 (@ana__s__world) on Sep 22, 2017 at 12:00pm PDT
We reached Baltimore late at night and went directly to our hotel. Baltimore was a real bummer as it was raining the entire day. We only went to Baltimore downtown but I was glad that I got a chance to meet a few old friends.
It was Day 19 and we said goodbye to Baltimore and left for our home in Tampa, Florida. The distance between Baltimore and Tampa is almost 950 miles. Therefore, we decided to break our journey to Savannah, Georgia. It took us 11 hours to reach Savannah from Baltimore via I-95 S.
The real happiness is when you return to your home…isn’t it?
Finally, our epic trip to the East Coast of the United States ended on Day 20! We all had mixed emotions. Those past 19 days were the ultimate time of our lives as we shared endless memories together to treasure for a lifetime. When I think about this legendary trip of 2017 now, it is too hard to believe that we traveled 12 states in 20 days – Starting from my home state in Florida to Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York and Massachusetts!
Also, I’d like to give a big thank to this guy – the love of my life, my dear hubby for believing in us that we could drive so much! This trip wouldn’t have been possible without him!

How to Have a Perfect Road Trip
By Shivani Vora
- July 4, 2017
Unlike flying, which is often stressful, a road trip is a journey that can be as enjoyable as the destination you’re headed to, according to Sheryl Connelly, a trend forecaster for Ford Motor Company , who takes road trips often with her family. “In a world of increasing distractions, being in a car for an extended period of time is a great way to bond with your family or friends and see sights you may not get to otherwise,” she said.
Here, Ms. Connelly’s tips on how to have a fun-filled and safe road trip:
PACK SMART Besides your clothes and toiletries, road trip essentials include a basic first-aid kit, wet wipes to clean up any messes, a charger for your cellphone, jumper cables to jump-start your vehicle in case it dies, and a spare tire — surprisingly, Ms. Connelly said, many drivers don’t have one in their cars. And, what’s a road trip without food? Bring a cooler of finger foods like whole fruit, cheese sticks, roasted nuts, granola bars and indulgent treats like a bar of your favorite chocolate.
BANISH BOREDOM Keep your road trip entertaining. Old-fashioned games such as “I Spy” are a fail-safe option, and so is music. “Have every passenger create a playlist, and rotate listening to songs from each one,” she said. Other ideas include audiobooks and podcasts of TED Talks.
STOP EVERY FEW HOURS Break up the monotony of being in the car by stopping every two to three hours to get some fresh air and stretch your legs. “After sitting in the car for too long, the tendency is to get fatigued, and even a five-minute stop will help counter the sluggishness,” she said.
BUILD IN SIGHTSEEING Use your road trip as an opportunity to explore the destinations you’re driving through. “Don’t just observe the landscape,” Ms. Connelly said. “Participate in the community you’re surrounded by.” Try seeing a small, quirky museum, dining at a restaurant known for serving tasty regional specialties or visiting a local park or farmers’ market — the app iExit , available on Apple and Android, has information on attractions off exits on major highways.
STAY CONNECTED When driving through remote areas, spotty cellphone reception and dead zones are inevitable, and in an age when many drivers (Ms. Connelly included) rely on map apps to help them navigate, it’s a good idea to know your car navigation system and in-car Wi-Fi options before your trip. Some of the latest vehicles, for example, have Wi-Fi hot spots so connectivity isn’t an issue. Otherwise, Ms. Connelly advised reviewing the route you will be taking before you set off and bringing along a detailed map of the areas you will be traveling through.

6 Epic Road Trip Destinations to Visit in 2017
Hey — so why aren’t you driving right now? We don’t mean to single you out: it’s just that it’s 2017, and there are so many epic road trip destinations to visit this year that, well, you might wanna get started. From bucket list-worthy national parks to never-been-better city breaks, from shorter getaways to long-haul adventures, you’ve got some road tripping to do.
2. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Philadelphia has never looked better. Not only was it named a 2017 must-visit by Travel + Leisure, it was also recently the first U.S. city inducted to the Organization of World Heritage Cities. And that’s just for starters. History buffs will want to hit the town in April, when the eagerly awaited Museum of the American Revolution opens its doors, while art geeks should drop by in the fall, when an interactive artwork by Cai Guo-Qiang illuminates the Ben Franklin Parkway. And everyone will want to linger in the newly reopened LOVE Park come summertime. City of Brotherly Love, indeed.
3. DENALI NATIONAL PARK, ALASKA: Last year, the National Park Service celebrated its 100th anniversary, and this year, it’s Denali National Park’s chance to throw a centennial bash. Though this 6-million-acre tract isn’t exactly a hop, skip, and a jump away from the continental U.S. (remember when we mentioned long-haul adventures?), we can’t think of a better reason for a quest to North America’s tallest peak. A range of birthday events are also scheduled throughout the year to mark the big 1-0-0. (Don’t forget to brush up on your road trip packing skills before making the journey.)
4. SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Speaking of big anniversaries: free-spirited types will want to set their GPS for the City by the Bay in 2017. It’s the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love this year, and the whole city will be getting in on the party. Head to the Asian Art Museum’s Flower Power exhibition, groove at the Haight-Ashbury Street Festival, and go on walking tours that follow in the footsteps of Jerry Garcia and Janis Joplin. (Psst: While you’re driving through town, don’t miss your chance to tackle Lombard Street — one of the curviest streets on Earth.)
5. UTAH AND NEVADA: Never heard of Bears Ears National Monument or Gold Butte National Monument ? We don’t blame you: these road trip destinations were only given National Monument status at the very end of December, after all. The former, located in the Four Corners region of southern Utah, comprises wild Western landscapes and two distinctive, bear ear-shaped mesas. The latter is a sprawling desert landscape in southern Nevada that’s home to bighorn sheep and mountain lions, as well as stunning ancient petroglyphs. Hit the road: it’s time to get acquainted.
6. YOSEMITE, CALIFORNIA: Cities aren’t the only ones getting in on the upgrade action. Take Yosemite National Park . Following a series of restoration projects, this summer the largest of the park’s three sequoia groves will reopen to the public, complete with new hiking paths (and a new parking area, too — score!). Cold weather visitors, you’re also in luck; following a series of big storms, most of California is now drought-free — and even seeing record-breaking snowfall. Just don't forget to pack your snowsuit.

How to plan the perfect road trip
In 2006, my boyfriend and I drove from Colorado to Moab, Utah, for a week of desert exploration. For 300 miles, we had no problems. Then the gas light came on, 40 miles from Moab and at least an hour after we had passed the last service station. Did we panic? No. The impending calamity only fed our sense of adventure. We drove giddily on, eventually coasting into a gas station on fumes just as the engine cut out.
Nowadays, I can’t be so cavalier. With two school-age kids, road trips require slightly more vigilance. Since my boys were born, my husband (the boyfriend from the Moab trip) and I have canvassed the country with them strapped into a succession of car seats. We drive to save money and to show them our world — and because we believe in the power of “windshield time,” the moments of intimate connection that intersperse the monotony of car travel.
Here’s what to consider before pulling out of the driveway:
Bring a real map . Always pack a road atlas. Even with GPS in your smartphone or car, having a paper map is insurance against getting lost. (Paper doesn't lose power.) And kids who can read get a kick out of studying the atlas. They might surprise you with a suggested itinerary change. Last summer, when my sons and I drove to Wyoming to dig for dinosaur bones, my 6-year-old found on the atlas some caves lined with prehistoric petroglyphs about a knuckle's distance from where we were staying in Thermopolis. The detour was well worth the extra 25 miles.
Make more room. Space is at a premium on a road trip. If you own a minivan, pat yourself on the back. Otherwise, look for ways to optimize space inside the car. Because we live in the "Gore-Tex vortex" of Boulder, Colo., which means we travel with an absurd amount of outdoor gear, we added a Yakima Skybox to our roof. This is great for skis and snowboards in winter, and for sand-covered beach umbrellas and deflated stand-up paddleboards in the summer. Do you need a roof box? Probably not. Will you appreciate the extra space it provides? Absolutely.
Allow for spontaneity. Though you'll need to literally map out your trip, keep in mind that part of the fun is being spontaneous, so build time for freedom into the route. If you're booking nightly lodging in advance, underestimate you daily mileage to allow for off-highway quests for seasonal produce stands or unscheduled stops at roadside attractions. After all, how many times can you pass the "See Rock City" sign without doing just that?
Adopt an electronics strategy. This is a personal choice, but if you're a kid in my car, you get unfettered access to — and this is key — pre-chosen videos. At home, I'm a tyrant when it comes to screen time. But on the road, the kids' "Wild Kratts" binges keep the trip fun for everyone. For older kids, pick out a book on CD or download one and make a plan: two chapters and then a half-hour of iPad — or whatever works for you. Better yet, let them play DJ. It's a window into their lives, and it can keep them off the video games.
Lay off the doughnuts. Whether you're a parent or not, your road trip should include lots of accessible, wholesome snacks. I have a Yeti cooler that cost more than I ever imagined I would spend on an insulated plastic box. Still, I haven't once regretted it; ice is still solid five days out, and carting around fresh food keeps us eating healthfully on the cheap. I stock it with carrots and hummus, hearty fruits such as apples and tangerines, deli turkey and cheddar cheese. I also carry a small cutting board and sheathed knife. Sure, there's also a pack of Pringles and a few Twix bars, but try to minimize the junk food. Your mood will stay brighter and you'll feel better.
Stop frequently. Siblings squabble. Drivers and co-pilots disagree. There's no foolproof method for diffusing road-trip tension, so try to not let it build in the first place. If you've got kids, plan to stop every couple of hours at a playground, a restaurant with a play area or even a highway rest stop. Turn that rest stop into your personal jungle gym — do push-ups on the picnic table and hop from the flagpole to the interpretive sign. (There's always an interpretive sign.) In other words, burn energy. This works for passengers of all ages.
Grant freedom where you can . If you've got older kids, let them drive. I'll never forget the look of pride I saw one winter on a young man's face on a ski trip to Utah. His parents let him drive to Alta, Utah, from Crested Butte, Colo., and though they admitted to a few white-knuckled moments, this was clearly a momentous trip for that family. Friends with tweens and teens give their kids a lump sum of cash at the beginning of the trip. (Average amount: $30.) Their kids can spend it on anything, but when it's gone, it's gone. Trying to wrangle the college kids home for a visit? Give them a set budget and let them plan the itinerary.
Take breaks . You don't have to spend every waking minute together. (Unless, like me, your travel companions are still learning to tie their shoes.) So ditch your co-pilot for a solo jog or split up for an afternoon.
Splurge wisely . Because you're saving money by not buying plane tickets and renting a car, allow the occasional indulgence. For me, this is almost always food. Most recently, my husband and I dined at Telluride's La Marmotte, an upscale French bistro housed in the town's old icehouse, offsetting the robust bill by sleeping under the stars in U.S. Forest Service campgrounds.
Meet the locals . They're nice — and better informed than Yelp. I've always been rewarded by local insight when I ask for recreational recommendations at a bike shop (here's looking at you, Orange Peel Bicycle Service in Steamboat Springs, Colo.) or restaurant ideas at local cafe. Without the advice of Jerry in Fairbanks, Alaska, I never would have eaten at that city's superlative Thai House Restaurant. That would have been a taste-bud travesty.
Seeing this country by car puts it into perspective. It’s a treat to see the landscape evolve, to see how — and where — other people live. And hitting the open road is an American rite of passage. Just remember to fuel up before that gas light comes on.

Buckle Up and Check Out the Cast of Road Trip Then and Now
It's been 20 years since four college kids piled into the car and embarked on a tour of debauchery for a ridiculous cause in todd phillips' feature directorial debut.
How do we top Jason Biggs doing it with a pie...?
Such was surely the question on countless filmmakers' lips after the box office success of American Pie , which spurred the urge to fill theaters with debauched hi-jinks that young gentlemen especially would find funny.
Todd Phillips perfected that formula over the course of the 00s, and he started with 2000's Road Trip , a raunchy gross-out fest cranked up to 11 about a fairly normal college student played by Breckin Meyer who hits the road to intercept a sex tape of him and a one-night stand that was accidentally mailed to his girlfriend, played by Rachel Blanchard , who's at another school. And of course he wouldn't embark on such an important mission alone...
Sex is had between expected and unexpected partners, a prostate is probed, French toast gets a dusting of flop sweat, a mouse is molested by Tom Green . Phillips, who also wrote the story with Scot Armstrong , packed it all in, and even borrowed Stifler from what would soon be a whole American Pie franchise for the ride.
"I find the term 'gross-out comedy' sort of dismissive," Phillips, ready to go to bat for whatever he was working on since the beginning, told the BBC in 2000. "It's very easy to be gross, it's very hard to be funny. I think why Road Trip works is not because of the gross stuff, it's because of the characters."
And since 20 years is a bit of time, definitely enough time for a few twists and turns on everybody's journey, let's get a load of what these miscreants all looked like then vs. now:

After standing out as Travis Birkenstock in Clueless and scoring supporting roles in The Craft , Go and The Insider , Meyer moved into the starring position in Road Trip as Josh—a cheater (it all works out in the end) but the relatively nice, normal one of the bunch. Next up was the ensemble comedy Rat Race and he's the voice of Jon in the Garfield movies with Bill Murray as the lazy, lasagna-loving cat. A regular in movies and TV, Meyer also starred in the legal dramedy Franklin & Bash with Mark-Paul Gosselaar and more recently appeared in Designated Survivor and The Fix .
He has two daughters with ex-wife Deborah Kaplan (who directed him in 2001's Josie and the Pussycats ) and since 2017 he's been in a relationship with The Bold and the Beautiful actress Linsey Gofrey after they met on a dating app for people in the industry.
"I always tell him all the time, I'm like, 'I had the biggest crush on you when I was growing up. I loved Travis from Clueless,'" Godfrey told Soap Opera Digest in December 2018. "And I loved him in Road Trip and all that kind of stuff. He thinks that's really funny and I think it's really funny. He was adorable and we both have big crushes on each other. He's the best!"
He had just played Stiffler in American Pie and would have three more turns as the unhinged but well-meaning party animal down the road, but first—Josh's best friend, the mildly unhinged but well-meaning party animal E.L., in Road Trip .
Scott dove into his subsequent type-casting with relish, starring in the bromance classic Dude, Where's My Car? with Ashton Kutcher and Final Destination (both of which also came out in 2000), The Dukes of Hazzard , Mr. Woodcock and Role Models . He also turned up in Old School and Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back and provided the voice of Crash in four Ice Age films. He has also starred in a number of small films, including the ensemble sci-fi thriller-comedy Southland Tales (audiences didn't really get it either) and the Courteney Cox-directed Just Before I Go .
He actually hasn't done much TV (his movies have quietly grossed almost $5 billion collectively in the meantime), but in 2018 was cast in Fox's Lethal Weapon to replace the fired Clayne Crawford as the resident live wire, but the buddy-cop dramedy was canceled at the end of its third season.
Having maintained an impressively private personal life for two decades, Williams married interior designer Olivia Korenberg in September 2019.
Beth turned out to be the girl for Josh in the end, never mind the shady cinematic start to their relationship.
After Road Trip , which was preceded by modeling, starring in Varsity Blues and playing Ruby on Felicity , Smart reunited with Breckin Meyer in Rat Race and co-starred in The Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher . She has appeared in a slew of films, including Win a Date With Tad Hamilton , Starsky & Hutch , The Best Man , Just Friends (as the object of Ryan Reynolds ' long-suffering affection), The Town and the holiday ABC Family classic 12 Dates of Christmas . Later TV work has included Maron , Law & Order: SVU , MacGyver and the new DC Universe web series Stargirl with Luke Wilson , which just premiered May 18, 2020.
Smart married HGTV star Carter Oosterhouse in 2011 and they welcomed daughter Flora via surrogate in 2016.
Josh's smart-ass pal Rubin is the reason this road trip was possible, as he's the one who sent the wrong tape (Josh had also been recording innocent video messages in the era before FaceTime and Snapchat) to Josh's girlfriend, Tiffany.
Costanzo went on to co-star in 40 Days and 40 Nights with Josh Hartnett and then landed the technically plum role of Joey 's nephew Michael Tribbiani in the ultimately short-lived Friends spin-off. A steadier gig came as a star of the USA dramedy Royal Pains for eight seasons, after which he had a pivotal role in the HBO series The Night Of and joined the cast of Designated Survivor in season two.
Green's bum isn't on the road trip, but his character—Barry Manilow—serves as narrator and school bard. 2000 was an eventful year for the host of The Tom Green Show— he chronicled his successful treatment for testicular cancer on his popular MTV show, and then appeared as The Chad in Charlie's Angels alongside then-girlfriend Drew Barrymore , whom he was married to for eight months in 2001 before filing for divorce that December.
After Road Trip , his biggest movie was 2001's Freddy Got Fingered , but he has written and produced and appeared in all sorts of productions over the years (including Tom Green's House Tonight , an ahead-of-his-time talk show he filmed in his living room, and Tom Green Live ), as well as done cameos and a lot of voice work.
The meek and scrawny Kyle was a sight gag in and of himself, but though he had some lows (eating adulterated French toast being the most memorable), he also ended up with Rhonda's leopard-print underpants as a souvenir from the best night of his life to date.
After Road Trip , his movie debut, Qualls starred in his own bro comedy, 2002's The New Guy , but is mainly known for supporting appearances in the likes of Hustle & Flow and TV shows including Lost , Criminal Minds , My Name Is Earl , The Big Bang Theory , Breaking Bad , Supernatural , Fargo and The Man in the High Castle , on which he was a regular for three seasons.
He also reprised the role of Kylie in 2009's direct-to-DVD sequel Road Trip: Beer Pong .
After sharing with an audience that he was gay during one of his pal Jim Jeffries ' stand-up shows (in 2013 Qualls starred in Legit , a sitcom co-created by Jeffries), Qualls took to Twitter in January 2020 to write , "It is 11:20pm. I just came out on stage at a @jimjefferies show in San Diego. Yep, I'm gay. Been gay this whole time. Tired of worrying about what people would think of me. Tired of worrying about what it would do to my career."
None of the aftermath of Rhonda's memorable sex scene, when Kyle's friends tease him, aged well, but Davis made a splash as the confident, sexy-as-hell girl Kyle loses his virginity to on the road. The model and actress went on to a career as a motivational speaker and style consultant before she died at 36 in 2011 from a pulmonary embolism following knee surgery. She was married to comedian Mike Yard from 2008 until her death.
Perfectly nice Tiffany remains none the wiser about Josh's unfaithful ways after the tape turns out not to be what Josh thought it was, and they amicably split up.
Blanchard, the former child star ( The Kids of Degrassi Street , Are You Afraid of the Dark? ) who played Cher when Clueless was briefly a sitcom, has since worked alongside a slew of talented actors, but her most recognizable film since Road Trip is the instant-cult-classic Snakes on a Plane . Up next, however, she's in Adrian Lyne 's thriller Deep Water , the film that brought co-stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas together off-camera, due out in November 2020.
Her TV work includes 7th Heaven , Peep Show , Psych , Fargo and Audience Network's You Me Her , which has been renewed for a fifth and final season.
In 2014, Blanchard told ABC News that anything online saying she had a husband named Adrian Brown and two kids was a lie. "That's a rumor," she said. "I think I have an Internet stalker, who started that and then won't take it down. I keep having it taken down and he keeps putting it back up. But I don't have a husband, I don't have two kids."
She has since married composer Jeremy Turner and they have a daughter, Maxine.
The star of stage and screen who originated the role of Mark in Rent and Lucas in If/Then on Broadway can play a chilling villain, see anti-Semite McGoo in School Ties and Josh, obsessive TA turned cult leader, in Road Trip . He's appeared in numerous indie films over the years, as well as bigger fare such as A Beautiful Mind and the 2005 movie adaptation of Rent , and his more recent TV work includes Psych , The Knick , The Good Fight and 13 Reasons Why . He currently stars on CBS All Access' Star Trek: Discovery as Lt. Commander Paul Stamets.
In 2017, Rapp changed the course of a lot of things when he said in an interview that Kevin Spacey had made a sexual advance toward him when he was 14 and Spacey was 26, which triggered a spiral of accusations that resulted in Spacey being fired from House of Cards . (Spacey said he didn't remember doing any such thing, but if he did so while drunk, he was deeply sorry.)
"I felt bad for the hundreds of people who were working on the show," Rapp said a year later, reflecting on how swiftly Spacey's career collapsed after he came forward. The actor told BuzzFeed he was "relieved" when House of Cards returned for another season without Frank Underwood.
In November 2019, Rapp announced that he was engaged to his partner, Ken Ithiphol .
The before-and-after of the prominent character actor never gets old. Suplee had already excelled at comedy (the only one who can't see the optical illusion in Mallrats ; a high school bully's strongman in Boy Meets World ) and drama (as Edward Norton 's racist lump of a friend in American History X ) by the time he had a small role in Road Trip as Ed. He was played a high school football player in Remember the Titans in 2000 and went on to co-star in My Name Is Earl from 2005 to 2009. His film resume includes The Butterfly Effect , Cold Mountain , Unstoppable , The Wolf of Wall Street , Deepwater Horizon and the Norton-directed Motherless Brooklyn , and more recent TV work includes Hulu's Chance , the new Twin Peaks , and Netflix's The Ranch and The Santa Clarita Diet .
He has four children with Brandy Lewis , his wife since 2006, and in January 2020—after almost a lifetime of yo-yo dieting and gaining and losing hundreds of pounds—he proudly revealed off his new muscled physique
The News Radio star and all-around quirky fellow had a brief cameo as an obviously strange motel clerk.
Amid several arrests over the years, some of them involving indecent exposure and groping other men, Dick has been open about struggling with substance abuse that has had him in and out of rehab. But despite the toxic behavior, he has stayed busy, having his own sketch show, The Andy Dick Show , on MTV for a couple years; becoming a regular on the dais at celebrity roasts; releasing a few comedy albums; and doing a lot of cameos as an oddball in the likes of Community , Maron , Workaholics and Netflix's Sense8 .
Dick has a son from his first marriage, to Ivone Kowalczyk, and a son and daughter with partner Lena Sved—who obtained a restraining order against Dick in 2018, claiming he had gotten belligerent in front of their son, who in turn locked his drunken father out of the house.
As "French Toast Guy," an otherwise unnamed diner cook, he amiably agreed to give Kyle a new plate of French toast without powdered sugar, and proceeded to remove the sugar in every obscene way imaginable and serve it back to him.
Sanz had joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1998 and stayed until 2006, while also building a resume of small but standout comedic roles in the likes of Boat Trip, School for Scoundrels, Lucky You, Step Brothers, Year One and Bachelorette. He's also the voice of Duncan in Wreck-It-Ralph and Ralph Breaks the Internet . His acting on TV has included 30 Rock , House of Lies , Parks and Recreation , Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt , Modern Family , Scorpion , GLOW and The Mandalorian .
In 2008 he revealed that he'd lost about 100 pounds, and later said on The Tonight Show that he'd been working out more and cut out alcohol.
Sanz is quiet about his persona life, but he married his wife Jenn in 2015.
A prolific improv comedian and star of Mr. Show and The Larry Sanders Show long before she became the unflappable IT wiz Chloe O'Brian on 24 , Rajskub had a quick turn in Road Trip as school bus dispatcher Blind Brenda whose intuition (and middle finger) works just fine.
Road Trip was just an early stop on the journey for Phillips, who got his start making documentaries ( Frat House put him on the map) and then went on to direct and/or write Old School , Starsky & Hutch , School for Scoundrels , The Hangover (as well as Part II and Part III ), Due Date , War Dogs and Joker . He also produced A Star Is Born with longtime buddy Bradley Cooper, who in turn was a co-producer on Joker , which was nominated for 11 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. Joaquin Phoenix won Best Actor (as well as every other major award), and Hildur Guðnadóttir won for Best Original Score.
"I'm writing another comedy," Phillips told the BBC in 2000. "But don't worry, it's not a teen movie at all." Just adults who start a fraternity, that's all, and it's spectacular.
Road Trip made almost $120 million worldwide and put Phillips on the dude-comedy map—though, as he would be quick to point out, each of those dudes has a purpose.

10 Best Buddy Road Trip Movies, According to Rotten Tomatoes
In Hollywood, certain staples will never die , no matter how many years go by. Some clichés like the less attractive sidekick, superhero films, the nerdy underdog, or the Oscar-bating based on a true story movie are built into the fabric of Hollywood. These clichés make audiences feel comfortable because they already know what to expect. One trope that's constantly repeated is the buddy road trip film.
Whether it's Rainman or Train, Planes and Automobiles , movies where two characters don't get along but are stuck in a car together and end up being good friends by the end always seem to garner an audience. However, being a cliché doesn't make a film great; it needs the right balance of heart and familiar tropes to become classic and not commonplace.
Plains, Trains and Automobiles (1987)
Rotten Tomatoes: 87%
In 1987, John Hughes took a break from teen dramas to make one of the most iconic Holiday and buddy road trip films of all time, laying the foundation for modern iterations of these types of movies.
RELATED: 10 Romantic Movies That Use Cliché Tropes to Their Advantage
This classic film is instantly hilarious because fans can relate to all the hi-jinks that come with having a flight delayed during the holidays. Legendary comics Steve Martin and John Candy masterfully play off of each other like the Harlem Globetrotters of comedy. Martin's conservative straight-man character meshes perfectly with Candy's annoyingly offbeat salesman, setting up the prototype for all the following buddy road trip films.
Dumb and Dumber (1994)
Rotten Tomatoes: 84%
The Farley Brothers breakout hit about two loveably dimwitted friends who take a road trip to Aspen is a milestone in comedy and took the buddy road trip film to new levels of ridiculousness and funny.
This classic comedy about friendship is choked full of immature yet deceptively smart jokes . Whether complaining about not being able to find good jobs under 40 hours a week or thinking Aspen is a tropical resort, this film's characters are so silly that fans are left with no choice but to laugh, even if it's despite themselves. This vital film represents a turning point from the cheesy hi-jinks of the 80s to the more irreverent comedy of the 90s.
Thelma and Louise (1991)
Rotten Tomatoes: 82%
This female-led road trip dramedy about two women on the run from the law was a cultural phenomenon and spoke up for a segment of the population not used to being heard.
Whether it's the epic last scene where they drive off a cliff or introducing the world to Brad Pitt , there's a lot that makes this film a classic. More importantly, this film highlighted women's exhaustion at being objectified and showed two female characters unwilling to take it, which was a novelty at the time. Scenes like Thelma and Louise blowing up an eighteen-wheeler belonging to a truck driver who berated them resonated with women who might have been in similar situations but couldn't do anything as drastic, making this one of the most influential movies of the decade.
Midnight Run (1988)
This Golden Globe-nominated action about a bail bondsman who has to retrieve a criminal who skipped town keeps the audience laughing and guessing what will happen next.
Midnight Run proves Robert Deniro isn't just an outstanding dramatic actor but also has impressive comedic timing. Deniro and Charles Grodin play their characters straight and not wacky, making them even funnier because it feels natural. More impressively, the audience never knows what will happen next in this cat-and-mouse chase between the two leads, the mob, and the police, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats after every plot twist and turn .
Easy Rider (1969)
This groundbreaking film about two free-spirited bikers struck a chord in counterculture for daring to question the legitimacy of freedom in America.
RELATED: Groundbreaking Films Made In The 1960s
Easy Rider is considered the first American arthouse film and started a wave of independent filmmakers who, similar to the film's main characters, wanted freedom from the establishment. As the characters ride through America, they encounter everything wrong, including bigotry, consumerism, and violence. However, there's no putting a halo on counterculture as the drug-selling cyclists are also contributing to consumerism in this time capsule of the late 60s .
Rain Man (1988)
Rotten Tomatoes: 90%
This road trip film is about a down-on-his-luck collectibles dealer who kidnaps his autistic brother never fails to leave fans misty-eyed.
Dustin Hoffman delivers the performance of a lifetime as he disappears into a character with autism. At the same time, Tom Cruise manages to make the audience empathetic to a flawed character like Tommy, who uses people for a living. While cliché of the genre, seeing Tommy go from treating his brother as a nuisance at the beginning of the trip to genuinely caring for him by the end leaves the audience emotionally satisfied, showing some tropes never get old.
Blues Brothers (1980)
Rotten Tomatoes: 92%
This musical, based on an SNL Sketch about two brothers traveling to find their old bandmates to raise money to save a Catholic Orphanage, is as wild as it sounds in all the best ways.
Blue Brothers is full of insane comedy moments fans expect from SNL, including floating angry nuns, Carry Fisher shooting a rocket launcher at the brothers, and a two-hundred cop car pile-up. When things can't get crazier, characters break out into song, including amazing performances from Aretha Franklin , James Brown , and Ray Charles that are worth the watch alone.
Smokey and the Bandit (1977)
Rotten Tomatoes: 85%
Bert Reynolds and Sally Field star in this box office smash with a charismatic lead character who single-handedly raised the sales of Pontiac Trans Ams in the late 70s.
This unique film almost entirely takes place in cars, making it the ultimate road trip film. Decades later, its practical car stunts are even more fun compared to today's CGI-laden chases. However, the film is sold on the cult of personality, Smokey. Smokey's confidence and bravado endear him to viewers even though he's a criminal. Sally Field also bewitches audiences as the lovable runaway bride who's swept up in the madness like the viewer. Refreshingly, Fields is more than a ditzy sidekick but is running from the responsibility of marriage by doing something completely irresponsible. Whether running from cops or a groom, this film is ultimately about defying authority.
Toy Story (1995)
This groundbreaking Pixar film about toys that come to life when no one is looking was the first completely CGI animated movie and taught a generation of kids what true friendship means.
Toy Story features timeless voice acting performances by Tim Allen and Tom Hanks , making fans forget they're watching a child's action figures . When rival toys get lost and have to join forces to find their way home, fans are brought to tears with its message about people getting over their differences to work together and the necessity of friendship.
Logan (2017)
This film is like an ultra-violent family road trip with Professor X as the senile grandpa, X-23 as the annoying daughter, and Logan as the dad trying to keep everything together.
Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart's twenty-year friendship shows on screen. Fans can feel the bond between Logan and Professor X, including arguing every five seconds, showing how comfortable they are with each other. Both characters are also the most vulnerable audiences have ever seen them, with Logan slowly dying and the once genius professor's mind deteriorating. Similar to the film's message, the grand illusion of our heroes is wholly destroyed. However, like a real father, Professor X still has one more lesson to teach Logan after he's tasked with protecting X-23 he learns being a hero isn't about how strong he is but about choosing to help others.
