The Fesarius was the flagship of the First Federation , and was commanded in 2266 by Balok . The ship was spherical, and nearly one mile in diameter. The ship was equipped with powerful tractor beams , and a much smaller, detachable pilot vessel that retained many of the capabilities of the larger vessel. [1]

Fesarius (star)
The system is located at the heart of the First Federation , within the space demarcated by First Federation marker buoys . The Fesarius system was the namesake of the Fesarius -class of starships as well as that class's flagship , the Fesarius itself.
