There is now a third 'hastily made cleveland tourism video' and it's great, share this article.

fake cleveland tourism video

It has been 10 years since Cleveland-based comedian Mike Polk Jr. put out his first version of the “ Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video .” The video, which has 10.3 million views to date, eventually had a second — arguably better — edition a few weeks later.

Then, there was 10 years of Non-Hastily-Made-Cleveland-Tourism-Video content.

But so much had happened to the fine city of Cleveland since — LeBron leaving, LeBron coming back, the Cavs winning a title, LeBron leaving, the Browns having legitimate promise — that there had to be a third video.

Thankfully, Polk came through in time for the MLB All-Star Game. As part of a segment for ESPN, Polk unveiled his third (safe for TV) edition of the Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video. And hey, it wasn’t bad!

“We’re like Vegas, but cold 10 months a year.”

Nicely done.

And, of course, the video wouldn’t have been complete without a shot at Detroit. At least you’re not Detroit, Cleveland.

That video was worth the wait.

VIDEO : Hilarious Fake Tourism Ad For Cleveland

The All Star game being in Cleveland reminded us of this hilarious gem. Someone made a fake tourism ad for Cleveland and honestly, a lot of it is actually true. Cleveland really isn't Detroit.

Video: Cleveland toursim spoof touts 'At least we're not Detroit'

A purported Cleveland tourism video (see: spoof) uploaded yesterday to YouTube takes a page out of the " This ain't Flint " book by saying the city's best quality is that it's not Detroit.

"Don't slow down in East Cleveland or you'll die," the song warns. "Our main export is crippling depression. It could be worse though, at least we're not Detroit."

If Cleveland can laugh at itself, why can't Detroit?

That said, we're on board with the Metro Times' challenge : "Isn't there a video team here in the D that can rise to the challenge and put the Mistake on the Lake back in its place?"

Mike Polk Jr. puts out third ‘Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video’

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Mike Polk Jr.'s “Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video” is now a trilogy.

The comedian introduced the new version during ESPN’s broadcast of MLB All-Star Monday festivities.

The video, however, suffers the same fate as other notable part threes -- “Godfather Part III,” “The Karate Kid Part III” and “Beverly Hills Cop III” come to mind -- not as dark as the second one (sample lyric from Part 2: “all of our fish have AIDS”) and whose relevancy is so stale it comes off as just a pale imitation of the classic original .

Still, the video, which, unlike the others, was produced to actually appeal to tourists, has its moments. "We put up signs to remind us where we live!” is a great line and jokes about Detroit never get old.

Look for Polk when he starts his new gig on WKYC Channel 3 News later this summer.

TUCSON, Ariz. ( KOLD/ Gray News) - A 13-year-old boy was killed while possibly making TikTok videos Thursday night, according to authorities.

Sierra Vista Police Department received several calls about shots fired in the 200 block of Andrea Drive, KOLD reported.

When officers arrived, they were called to the hospital regarding someone suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot.

Police told KOLD that the victim, identified as 13-year-old Khalil Robinson, was in a parked vehicle with two other minors when a gun was fired. Authorities believe that the three were possibly making videos for TikTok.

Robinson was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries Friday.

He would’ve turned 14 years old on April 15, according to a GoFundMe page.
