For the second straight year, Arsenal will conduct a preseason tour of the United States.

The Gunners will be just one of several high-profile Premier League clubs traveling to the U.S. ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Arsenal will be the opponent for the MLS All-Star Game in Washington, D.C., as the league returns to a format with a European opponent after facing a team of all-stars from Liga MX for two straight years.

Three days later the Gunners will face Manchester United in New Jersey, which will be followed by a high-profile match against Barcelona in Los Angeles as part of the Soccer Champions Tour.

Here are Arsenal’s fixtures for its 2023 summer tour of the United States, including how to purchase tickets.

Arsenal have returned to the United States this summer as they prepare for the 2023-24 season and their long-awaited return to the Champions League. Mikel Arteta's side enjoyed an excellent pre-season campaign across the Atlantic last year, one that many at the club felt was the catalyst for their superb start to the 2022-23 season.

They are back in America with some high profile fixtures already scheduled. Here,  GOAL  brings you everything you need to know about Arsenal's pre-season tour, including how to buy tickets, where to watch games, squad details and more.

Arsenal’s pre-season tour 2023 to begin on July 13 - get full schedule

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are scheduled to play a game against the MLS All Stars in Washington on July 19.

Premier League giants Arsenal will begin their pre-season 2023 against German outfit FC Nürnberg in a friendly at the Max-Morlock-Stadion in Germany on Thursday, July 13.

After finishing second in the Premier League last season, Arsenal will aim to have a strong pre-season in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming season, including their much-awaited return to the UEFA Champions League.

Under Spanish football manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal are scheduled to travel to the United States for their pre-season 2023 tour following their friendly against Nürnberg.

The Gunners will kick off their US tour with a game against MLS All-Stars in Washington on July 20. D.C. United manager and Premier League legend Wayne Rooney will coach the MLS All-Stars side.

Arsenal are later scheduled to face Manchester United at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 23.

Mikel Arteta’s men will then travel to Los Angeles to lock horns with reigning La Liga champions FC Barcelona at the SoFi Stadium on July 26.

Arsenal will conclude their pre-season 2023 with the Emirates Cup against Ligue 1 club AS Monaco at the Emirates Stadium on August 2.

Ahead of the new season, Arsenal are aiming to complete potential deals for Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz and Ajax defender Jurrien Timber. The Gunners are also looking to sign midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham.

Meanwhile, the likes of Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Mohamed Elneny could leave the club this summer.

Arsenal will visit the United States in the summer as part of the preparations for the 2023/24 season. Mikel Arteta and his players will take part in the annual MLS All-Star fixture in July in Washington D.C.

The Gunners will take on a selected team of players from the MLS at D.C. United's Audi Field on Wednesday, July 19 . The All-Star team will be led by Wayne Rooney and be played in front of 20,000 spectators.

It will be the second consecutive year that the north Londoners have made the trip across the pond. Last summer, they defeated Everton, Orlando City and Chelsea in the space of a week in a rather successive trip.

The game will be the Gunners' second pre-season fixture this summer. A trip to Germany in over two weeks will kickstart their preparations with a friendly against FC Nurnberg before Arteta's side jet off to the United States.

After facing the MLS All-Stars, Arsenal will face Premier League rivals Manchester United (July 22) and La Liga champions Barcelona (July 26) in New Jersey and Los Angeles.

In addition to the All-Star game, members of the MLS will square-off in the 2023 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge the day before - Tuesday July 18 - with tickets available to buy now, here.

Arsenal are going back to the United States of America for their pre-season tour in 2023. So, here is everything you need to know about Mikel Arteta’s plans for his Gunners this summer.

The Emirates Stadium outfit enjoyed a successful visit across the pond one year ago. Arsenal went unbeaten through the off-season, including taking a 4-0 win against Chelsea and a 2-0 victory over Everton. Arteta built on the promise by making a Premier League title challenge.

Arteta will hope Arsenal get a similarly successful pre-season in 2023 ahead of the Gunners returning to the Champions League . Their trip to the States will also hand Arsenal’s academy players a chance to show the Spaniard their skills. So, here is everything you need to know…

When does Arsenal’s pre-season start?

The Arsenal first-team squad returned to London Colney to start pre-season training on July 3, 2023. Arteta and Arsenal’s coaching staff put their senior players not on international duty through medical screenings and strength tests before also carrying out some light ball work.

Arteta had also sought to get the Gunners back into the run of things early on in 2022 before he would oversee the club’s first top-four Premier League finish since in the 2015/16 season.

Ipswich Town helped Arsenal kick off their summer schedule a year ago in a behind-closed-doors friendly at London Colney. The Tractor Boys lost 5-1 at the Gunners’ training base on July 2. Arteta and his players also then jetted off to Germany to face FC Nurnberg on July 8.

As of July 11, Arsenal have announced six pre-season friendlies for across their mini-camp in Germany and their tour of the USA. The Gunners will face Premier League rivals Manchester United in New York and an MLS All-Star team managed by Wayne Rooney in Washington DC.

It is the first time that Arsenal have met Manchester United on American soil. The two arch-rivals each won one meeting across their two Premier League matches in 2022/23. Erik ten Hag’s club won 3-1 at Old Trafford before losing 3-2 to Arteta’s players at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have also built up their tour of America with a pre-season friendly against Barcelona in Los Angeles. They will meet the 2022/23 La Liga champions at SoFi Stadium, home of NFL side the LA Rams. Arsenal’s owner Stan Kroenke also owns the 2022 Super Bowl champions.

But before heading across the pond, Arsenal will take a short trip to Adidas’ headquarters in Herzogenaurach for a mini-camp. They sought to return to the German brand’s training base after a brief stay in 2022. The Gunners will also take on FC Nurnberg again during their visit.

The Emirates Cup will also return to Emirates Stadium in 2023 with Arsenal hosting Ligue 1 side AS Monaco. It is the 12th edition of the Gunners’ pre-season tournament held at their ground. But this year’s edition will only see Arteta’s team feature once whilst on home soil.

While Arsenal began their pre-season at the club’s London Colney training ground on July 8 with a behind-closed-doors friendly with Watford. Marquinhos salvaged a 1-1 draw for the Gunners after the Brazilian’s second-half reply to Ismaal Kone’s strike during the first period.

How to watch the Gunners’ 2023 pre-season fixtures

Arsenal announced on June 30 that fans around the world, except in Germany and France, can watch the Gunners’ pre-season tour live exclusively via the club’s website. The Emirates Stadium natives’ MLS All-Stars meeting will only be available to watch via Apple TV, though.

Fans can watch Arsenal’s 2023 pre-season friendlies against Nurnberg, Manchester United, Barcelona and AS Monaco individually via their website for £6.99. Alternatively, the Gunners are selling a pre-season pass with all four of those encounters available to watch for £15.99.

Tickets for the Gunners’ summer schedule

Fans hoping to see Arsenal’s pre-season friendly with Rooney’s MLS All-Stars can get tickets through Ticketmaster . Their fixture will also follow a skills challenge at Audi Field, starting at 19:30 local time. Tickets for the MLS All-Stars Skills Challenge are also available to purchase.

Arsenal are also selling tickets for their pre-season friendly with Manchester United through Ticketmaster . The match is on general sale and will kick off at 17:00 local time. While tickets for Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Barcelona can, likewise, be bought on Ticketmaster .

Yet tickets for Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against FC Nurnberg will not go on sale through Ticketmaster but rather the Bundesliga 2 club’s website . While Ticketmaster will release tickets for Arsenal’s Emirates Cup match against AS Monaco through four on-sale windows.

Arsenal USA Pre-season Tour 2023 Schedule

Arsenal play their  final 2022/23 season match on May 28, 2023.  All roads lead to another episode of the USA tour– a destination many European teams prefer for pre-season preparation and rejuvenation.

The North Londoners have committed to participating in the yearly MLS All–Stars tournament in  July in Washington, DC.  

Their first match will come against a selection of MLS players. USA soccer enthusiasts can watch the live proceedings at DC United’s Audi Field on  July 19 2023. 

Arsenal’s second match will be against Premier League rivals  Manchester United  at  MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey. 

Arteta’s boys had a successful pre-season in 2022–a run whose ripple effects saw them produce a stellar performance that earned them an automatic berth in next season’s Champions League with a handful of games to spare. 

According to the Spanish manager, the match against MLS All–Stars will gauge the preparedness of the Gunners for 2023/24 business now that they are in for more challenges, including confirmed participation in next season’s  Champions League  action after a six-year absence. They gunned down Everton, Orlando City, and Chelsea in a week in the previous USA friendlies. 

This round of success was a statement of intent by the Londoners of what fans ought to expect when they commence league business.

Arsenal pre-season tour: Full schedule as Manchester United clash announced in USA

Arsenal have announced the second game of their 2023 pre-season tour of the United States .

Manchester United will be their opponents on Saturday, July 22 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey .

Further matches are to be announced in due course after a match with the MLS All-Stars was scheduled for three days earlier at Washington DC ’s Audi Field.

The Gunners spent time in the USA as recently as last summer, playing Everton, Orlando City and Chelsea as part of their Florida Cup tour. However, they have never faced United across the pond.

Sporting director Edu said: “The plans for pre-season are making good progress, with the match against Manchester United in New York being another important part of our preparations.

“Playing against strong opposition in a great stadium in front of so many of our supporters in New York will provide Mikel [Arteta] and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season.”
