Creating better nature tourism services
A complex service for nature tourists are created. The company has been providing nature tourism services for 9 years. The results of the project will enable the company to offer a more comprehensive service - to foreign tourists as well as to domestic tourists. The project will make nature tourism services better.
The aim is to improve the accessibility of nature tourism services to foreign tourists. In addition to improving services for foreign tourists, offers will be offered to domestic tourists that have not been offered so far or have been underdeveloped. The main focus is on nature tourists, but the service will also be made available for annual holidays, which can use nature as part of their services. Like trainings, seminars, camps, etc.
The amount of the grant is EUR 136 463,83 EURi
The support will be funded as part of the Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Terviklike loodusturismi teenuste loomine
Luukase loodust väärtustav ja hoidev kompleksne teenus loodusturistile. Ettevõtte on pakkunud juba 9 aastat loodusturismiteenuseid.
Eesmärk on parandada loodusturismi teenuste ligipääsetavust välisturistidele.
Toetuse summa 136 463,83 EURi
Toetust rahastatakse liidu COVID-19 pandeemiale reageerimise raames.
Uute loodusturismi teenuste arendamine ja olemasolevate täiendamine
Olemasolevate loodusvaatlus teenuste täiendamine (binoklid, fotokaamera rent) ja uute teenuste (glämping majutus, SUP-lauad, kanuud, ujuvvarje, tünnisaun) välja arendamine.
Ida-Harju piirkonnas on väga palju loodusresurssi, mida saaks veelgi rohkem väärindada.

We booked the hide a half year in advance. Seeing a bear would be the highlight of our holiday since we are both animal lovers. Peep was really helpful during the arrangements! On the night itself we didn’t see bears which was really disappointing. Maybe the rain had something to do with it. We arranged a second night and boy were we glad we did. We saw a bear coming walking out of the woods a couple of times. An amazing sight! Definitely worth it. The first night we shared the cabin with two other people but we still had our own (private) part of the cabin. The second night we had the whole cabin for just the two of us. This experience was great, I recommend it!
I was thrilled to discover Natourest’s overnight stay in a bear hide! The staff at Natourest were hugely helpful and helped me to find the best opportunity and travel options. The hides are comfortable, completely bug free, and are split into two to allow for some privacy. As a woman travelling on my own I had no concerns at all about overnighting in the wilderness! I was SUPER lucky and we had multiple bear sightings, as well as raccoon dogs and a wide variety of birds. I highly recommend this experience!
Firstly, let me just say the older reviews referring to bugs in the huts and noisy at night, etc. are for the old hides, they’ve now got newly built upgraded hides that are clean, comfortable, warm, completely bug-free, quiet and all around fantastic for sleeping and nature watching. We saw 2 brown bears and it was an absolutely amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone and everyone who is remotely interested in animals/nature. Fantastic communication, customer service and friendliness from the company that helped organised it. Can’t recommend this enough!

Touristic nature tour on the official trail sounds too mainstream? If you’re interested in a customized tour just for yourself or for your group, you´ve come to the right place!
My name is Romet and as a tour guide, I am willing to take foreigners closer to Estonian nature and offer them opportunities to expand their nature experience. This could mean hiking with snowshoes/bogshoes off the beaten track near Tallinn, swimming in bog lakes, cooking on a fire in the middle of nowhere, staying overnight and sleeping in hammocks in bogs of Central Estonia, organizing a two-day canoe trip in Soomaa or Matsalu National park together with traditional sauna, challenging yourself with an overnight trip in the winter and hiking over the frozen bog or going on a landscape photography tour. Or skating on the frozen lakes…
I see myself as a flexible tour guide who can customize your experience based on your interest, physical capabilities, budget, available time and seasonal circumstances. I most familiar with bogs of Central and Northern Estonia, coastal areas of Northern Estonia (Lahemaa National Park and Pakri peninsula), Soomaa National Park and Matsalu National Park. In 2020 Im doing my best to write about all the great things the Estonian nature can offer in my blog .
Before planning your trip to Estonia I suggest you read my Complete guide of visiting Estonian bogs get inspired by Thrillist’s article about 3-day vacation in Tallinn , including my bog tours. 🙂

Area and Our Team
Nature Tours Estonia invite you to take part in different tours and enjoy our unique wilderness.
Wetland area Emajõe-Suursoo is located in Peipsiveere Nature Reserve, easten part of Estonia. This place is as a well-hidden secret even for many estonians. Here is no mass tourism, deforestation or roads with deep tracks made by heavy machines. One of the greatest value of the Peipsiveere Nature Reserve is species diversity. This area belongs to both Ramsar and Natura bird and nature areas. The quiet rivers, lakes and bogislands are home for many birds and mammals, including many protected species.
Nature Tours Estonia offers year round tours in Peipsiveere Nature Reserv. In colder season we offer sleddogtours. In summertime you can discover our unique wetland and bog areas by canoeing, hiking or foraging.
Heinrich is very experienced in outdoor living. He is a long distance musher and year-round hiker. He has more than 40 years of hiking experience.
Heinrich has been very closely connected with nature since early childhood and existing with nature is a part of his lifestyle. He got his master’s degree in Natural Sciences (Management of Natural Resources) and worked for State Nature Conservation Centre of Estonia. He is also experienced and awarded nature photographer. Nowadays he is focused on raising sleddogs and offering nature tours in one of the wildest parts of Estonia.
Kristina has always been very interested in nature. It has fascinated her since she was a child. She knows plants and animals of our area very well and spends almost all her free time in forests or bogs. Kristina’s favorite pastime is foraging for mushrooms, berries and herbs and preparing them for the winter period.
Kristina has studied nature tour management at Luua Forestry School. She has many great stories to tell about animals, places, people and life in general. She is well liked by children and she easily finds a common language with them. Kristina works as a guide for canoe tours and foraging trips.

With more than 700 animals Estonia has one of the strongest Brown Bear populations in Europe. A forested area in N-E Estonia, called Alutaguse, has almost half of Estonian bears. Although fairly common there, it is still difficult to see them in wild. Natourest has built hides…
Elk (or Moose, as Americans say) is a common animal in Estonia. With the population of more than 12 000 animals, Elks can be seen all over Estonia, but it is naturally more common in the big wilderness areas.
Elks are mainly active in twilight and this is the proper time to see…
