Helpful and competent driver and courier. Comfortable coach. Hotel in centre of town (convenient). Staff very friendly and accommodating and our bedroom newly decorated with new carpets etc. Food adequate for what we paid. Well planned itinerary.

Beautiful scenic tour with friendly…

Beautiful scenic tour with friendly well informed driver and courier, local pick up point, quick change over, interesting excursions with time to wander.

Fine weather in March for Somerset

The best part of the holiday was the rapport between the two Daves - driver and tour manager. They really went beyond the call of duty. The outing to Wells and Clarks Village were super but Bath is so huge and Burnham on Sea the opposite.The hotel was soso, with good choice of food but a separate veg. dish and gravy boat would have been nice. The room was adequate and clean (unfortunately twin beds but..). The staff were both friendly and helpful.

Weston-Super-Mare

The driver and Tour Manager were tops. There was some dissention from other holiday makers which they handled with diplomacy. The hotel and food was good, as were the excursions. The times at the various destinations suited me well. Looking forward to my next holiday. Only downside for me is having to go to Northampton for holidays in Southern area.

Bournemouth- Gołd Dorset Coast and Country

Everything was great, lovely hotel, food was superb, and very efficient staff. We were very well looked after by tour manager John and Gordon the driver.

A great travel company

I always find the reservations staff, tour leaders and drivers exceptionally helpful, courteous and friendly. Grand UK prices are good in that everything is inclusive. No hidden extras. Just wish there were more single hols

Lovely hotel and staff

Lovely hotel and staff Interchange awful and for this reason I would avoid traveling with you again to many pickups taking way to long to get to destination

Coach drivers friendly and experienced. Pick ups generally on time & well organised. Hotel was good. Accommodation, food, entertainment and service. Excursions excellent and as they are included the holiday was good value for money.

e hotel was great except no heating…

The hotel was great except no heating on when we got back each day. Very chilly.The layout of the rooms a maze and confusing. Very clean everywhere and comfortable bed. Food was very good, no complaints. Thursdays visit to Burnham a waste. Too cold.

Well done Grand UK

As always Grand UK made our holiday experience a pleasure. The driver of our coach was fun and looked after everyone as did Stewart our Tour Manager. We did have a couple of problems with the hotel, mainly that they put us in a tiny room but that was quickly rectified. The entertainment was excellent and hotel staff very friendly and accommodating.

Christmas in Folkestone

Hotel was quite large and fully booked I imagine Bathroom very dangerous for the elderly no grab rails to get into Bath or to have a shower Food in general was good but often cold,plates always cold.All meals buffet style on plates I would call TEA PLATES but you can go round twice Nothing special for Christmas Dinner Under staff ed in bars Bingo ever night followed by excellent entertainment Won't be going away for Christmas again Wouldn't recommend

Can't complain about driver and courier…

Can't complain about driver and courier but the hotel just wasn't adequate for a five day Christmas merriment break The dining room was utterly manic more people than table and chairs some people were just milling about looking for somewhere to sit. Plus food was not hot The entertainment was a joke. I will definitely never use this company again

Christmas at Staverton Park

From pick up to drop off, our Christmas break to Daventry was perfect. We enjoyed the excursions, and the entertainment. We met some lovely fellow travellers. The hotel, Staverton Park was beautiful. The food was lovely and plentiful, and the Christmas dinner and evening buffet enjoyable. Our room was clean and had everything that we needed. Staff at the hotel were there when needed, and courteous at all times. All in all, we had a lovely Grand UK Christmas break!

Christmas ‘jollies’ in Bournmouth

The hotel used on this holiday is much smaller and more modern than most of the old Victorian seaside ones normally used They had plenty of staff who remembered you from previous visits and made you feel so welcome The food, well it just kept coming, always a fresh selection never the same rehashed into something different and Christmas lunch was as if you had just served it up at home it was delicious They use large round tables, which for single travellers ( and there were many) is ideal it also meant that you could meet up with friends or family The whole place was beautifully decorated We had lovely trips out, entertainment in the evenings, the beach area and promenade just down the road ,what more could you need Value for money, absolutely , you get what you pay for and worth every penny of the extra

Have given 3 stars because the hotel…

Have given 3 stars because the hotel wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. The staff were very helpful, the room was ok, but the food let it down, particularly on Christmas day and it would have been good if all our group were sat together, as there were a lot of people on there own. I would add that the ease of getting to destination was good and our guide, Stuart, was excellent and very helpful

Spoilt by very long journey!!

Have always had a wonderful time on GrandUK holidays but our turkey and tinsel to Alviston Hall was completely ruined by the amount of time we were travelling! We picked up our transport at 6-20am and arrived at Alviston at 16-20pm! 10hours to travel 223miles! It spoilt our next day as we were so tired.It took 11hours for our return journey! We spent over 2hours picking up and dropping off in London.More central pick up points are needed so coaches don’t have this problem.

The lovely Isle of Wight.

It's always lovely over on the Isle of Wight, particularly staying at the Warner's Hotel, Bembridge. Been there many times and will return as soon as possible.

Your escorted tour of Britain may take you to one or more of the four separate countries in the United Kingdom; England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom and combines rich history with a world of contemporary design. This city is so vast you would need a few days to get the most out of it. It was a very enjoyable Coach Holiday with the Hotel, food and excursions all extremely enjoyable. The one problem we always encounter with Grand U.K tours is the interchange system whereby you have to drop off so many other customers before arriving at the home venue. Naturally we are slightly biased as we are usually one of the last ones to arrive but it does 'take the cream ' off the holiday so to speak as everyone, understandably wants to reach home as quickly as possible. The other point I wish to make is would it be conceivable to have 6 day Coach Holidays as of the 5 day ones two are spent travelling to and fro the chosen destination. Obviously it would be more expensive and probably a logistic nightmare, but having talked to many other of the fellow travellers they are in full agreement. Thank you, Yours faithfullyMr.B.T. Hopper

We had a wonderful holiday on the Isle of Man

We had a wonderful holiday on the Isle of Man. Brilliant courier by the name of Vaughn who was very knowledgeable and kept us informed about what we were seeing. Also a very good driver Paul who took us about. At the end of the holiday there was a problem with the ferry but it was all dealt with very well and we all got home on time. I would thoroughly recommend Grand UK holidays and hope to go on another one soon.

Top hotel. Food excellent. Staff very helpful. Room basic but comfortable and clean. Excursions very good and well thought out. Teresa the tour manager was very knowledgeable and helpful. Adrian the driver very professional. This was my 5th trip with Grand UK will denfitely be returning next year.

We have been with you for 12 holidays

We have been with you for 12 holidays, and have found the hotels and their meals very tasty and varied. I have recommended you to a number of my friends, but I don't know if they ever came with you. The drivers and couriers are very informative and take us to lovely interesting places. Our only grouse is Northampton Bus Station, would it be possible to have designated parking for the coaches, Shearings have some, and when it is raining we have to either stay in the café or try and fit in under the capopy of the café.

Great 5 day break. Clean coach, nice hotel with reasonable food. Shared table with odd couple but maybe they thought same of us!

Another Curate's Egg!

We have just returned from a tour of the west country with Grand UK Holidays and found the experience a bit of a curate's egg! The itinerary was fantastic and our driver Tim was excellent, our courier, Dave was also excellent, calm and very efficient. Our first hotel, The Manor Hotel in Exmouth was welcoming and although we had a room with no views to speak of, always a disappointment, it was clean and quiet. The food was lovely. Unfortunately our next hotel in Newquay was pretty awful. The first room we had was so ghastly I walked right out, dark, ,pokey and miserable, the thought of staying in that horrible room for 3 nights appalled us both. The receptionist said in a very off hand way 'well try this one then' it was not much better, the window was steamed up, there was no view just a wall and a rotting window 2 feet away and it smelt horrible. Both rooms had dreadful old, scratched furniture in them. I really felt we were in a Third world country! My husband said he'd get us another hotel but our rep , Dave came up and had a look and arranged for us to go to another hotel. The food at dinner was rather awful too, vegetables that had been steamed for ages, tired salad with no dressing, dried up fish -, appalling, thank goodness we had breakfast elsewhere. We had two dinners at this hotel but just could not stomach a third and we ate elsewhere. I must say however that Grand TOURS did step up to the mark and once the rooms had been looked at the transfer to the other hotel was very swiftly arranged and our rep came with us to make sure the room was OK for us. Our next hotel, the Holiday Inn at Newport was faultless. We actually had a great time and saw so much fantastic scenery, visited some brilliant places and had a lot of fun. BUT please don't give those dreadful rooms to anyone else - as one guest remarked 'you wouldn't put a dog in them'! Also very galling when your find out later that some people at least had a lovely Seaview! Old people tend not to make a fuss and maybe some would have put up with it, but it's totally disrespectful to expect anyone to stay in such dreadful rooms they should be used as store rooms or offices or converted into toilets.
