Book One of Our Napa Wine Tours Tours are in luxury SUVs, accommodating up to six people with comfortable leather seating and water on ice. We pick you up directly from your hotel in  Wine Country for your wine tour and put together a unique itinerary based on group preferences.

We saw a gap in how people tour the wine country. Previously, you had two choices: Either take a tour on a bus with so many other people that you're severely restricted to where you can go, or take a limo, with a driver who may know the layout of the area, but doesn't know very much about the wine. We offer something better: A small guided tour (between 2 and 6 people). You can either customize it to go anywhere you like, or sit back and enjoy as we take you to our favorites. While most people go to the wineries that line the valley floor, there is actually a second set of wineries off the beaten path, or in the surrounding mountains. Many of these wineries are also people's homes; where they make very small batches of hand-crafted wines. As you retreat into the mountains and back-roads, you will discover hidden gems that don't exist on maps or in travel guides. Our tours are customized to meet your specific needs and interests. We've never done the same tour twice! …

There is truly nothing more I can say than what has already been said! My daughter found Max through yelp, and believe me we were a bit nervous because it just sounded too good to be true. Well, he did not disappoint! This is the ONLY way to tour the wine country. Max has a personal relationship with hundreds of wineries in Napa and Sonoma. And because of this relationship, he is able to get into private wineries, that are not open to the general public. He made an appointment for us to visit A'Rafenelli, a winery in Dry Creek, Sonoma, that has been in business for 4 generations. An incredible place! We would never have known about it on our own. And as for his experience? He's a walking encyclopedia! You don't need to look further...at $150 per person, it is by far the best tour I have ever taken and look forward to doing it again in both Sonoma and Napa!

This tour was by far our most memorable part of our trip to San Fran. Max is a excellent host and wealth of knowledge. He brought us to winery's I would never think of going to. His claim to fame is he's never done the same tour twice. If your looking for a great day in wine country Max is your guy!

We booked a Sonoma Wine Tour with Max Napa Tours and was very pleased with the tour and level of service provided by Evan, our tour guide. Evan picked us up from our San Francisco hotel, drove us to Sonoma and proceeded to take us to four (4) different wineries in the region. We were on the tour with one (1) other couple so it very intimate and felt like a personal tour. Evan was very comfortable to be around and was very knowledgeable about the area and wine, in general. At the end of the day, Evan even stopped to get us a box to ship back all of our wine for us! Overall, it was a great tour and we can't wait to get back to San Francisco so we can book another tour with Max Napa Tours!

Our wine tour with Max Napa Tours was exactly what we wanted out of our winery-hopping experience. Evan was a great guide - personable, incredibly knowledgeable and fun! The tours are limited to six people, which gives it a personal feel. Much better than the myriad tour buses that you see all over Napa. The small tours also mean that the tour guides have some great relationships with smaller, off-the-beaten-path wineries, which means you get an even better experience than you might normally. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody looking for a fun way to do Napa Valley and avoid the crowds.

Max is simply awesome. Professional, fun, knowledgable and connected - he brings the best elements together to provide the most amazing napa experience, tailored to the customer's preferences. I will absolutely use him again.

We recently returned from our first trip to San Francisco and first ever Napa wine tour. We were interested in an intimate tour with someone who could take us off the beaten path. All we can say is this was a truly unforgettable experience. Max picked us up at our hotel on Union Square and brought us, along with another couple from Australia, to four small but very unique wineries in Napa. Max made special arrangements that included tours of the grounds as well as a delicious lunch at a local Italian restaurant. He even took us to a UPS store and assisted us in shipping our wine back to Texas! His local knowledge and wine expertise enriched the trip and we left feeling a little smarter for it. We would highly recommend Max to anyone interested in enjoying a day in wine country.

Our trip was the greatest, our guide Evan, was the best, we were also so very happy to meet two young women to share our trip with us.

Our group of five recently (9/12/14) had the pleasure of touring Napa with Max of Max Napa Tours. Max's knowledge of architecture, wine and all things hipster made for a most enjoyable day trip. We visited two larger vineyards that we selected and two smaller vineyards Max selected and truly enjoyed them all. Also, special thanks to Donnie Gallagher of Trespass Vineyards for his hospitality and providing a great location for lunch. Thanks for a most enjoyable day for myself & my family! I would not hesitate to recommend Max Napa Tours to anyone who is looking for something tailored to their liking.

We had an amazing tour with Evan for my 40th birthday! It was absolutely perfect! We loved the wineries and lunch spot Evan chose as well as his company. Thank you Evan for making my birthday and our first trip to napa a wonderful memory! It could not have been any better!!
