Halong Bay  is one of Vietnam’s most stunning attrations –  there is no way to describe Halong Bay other than as purely breathtaking. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wonder of the world, the bay features thousands of limestone islands and cliffs emerging from the turquoise sea.

Most of the islands are uninhabited and are home to delightful flora and fauna and empty, white-sand beaches from which you can go swimming and snorkeling. Cong Do, Tra San, Vung Dang, and Cong Dam are just a few of the places where you can see the most beautiful scenery, kayak through tranquil lagoons and discover the coastal marine ecosystem.

Thien Cung Grotto

Thien Cung Grotto is one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay, close to Dau Go Cave. The cave features many special stalactites and stalagmites. Thien Cung Grotto has an opening that connects to the sky, so when sunlight shines through and reflects on the stalactites, the place becomes even more sparkling and impressively beautiful.

To visit Thien Cung Grotto, you will climb up the stone steps and get inside to explore the mystical beauty of the cave. The cave visit is approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Fighting Cocks islet (Hòn Trống Mái) 

The Fighting Cock islet is the symbol of Halong Bay, appearing in most of the photos and advertising campaigns of Halong Bay. In reality, it is a large rock formation that, when seen from a distance, resembles the shape of two fighting cocks, one female and one male. During a bay cruise, the boat will take you past the Fighting Cock islet and stop for you to take photos, and check in with this landmark. It is merely a photo spot, and you won’t be able to climb up. just take a look then pass by.

Ba Hang area 

Ba Hang used to be a large fishing village with dozens of households living on the sea. The reason this area is called Ba Hang is because there is a cave named Ba Hang Cave. It is still an area with beautiful natural scenery nestled within the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Halong Bay. During a 4-hour tour of the bay, you will paddle a kayak or join a local bamboo boat to explore this area for approximately 30 minutes.
