Multiple Routes of Safari 

There are multiple routes for Chambal Safari.

The most popular routes are:

• From Forest Office near Kishorepura Muktidham to Bhanwar Kunj ;
• From Forest office near Kishorepura Muktidham to Garadiya Mahadev.
• One can also take Boat Safari from Jawahar Sagar Dam which goes up to Bhainsrorgarh.

Chambal Safari to Bhanwar Kunj

Bhanwar Kunj is a famous spot among locals near Hanging Bridge.

Charges: Rs. 800 per head per hour. Minimum 4 persons required.

Chambal Safari to Garadiya Mahadev

Garadiya Mahadev has become one of the most popular attractions of Rajasthan. Enjoying the mesmerizing Garadiya from Boat Safari is a different experience altogether.

• There are no stoppages and no getting off the boat.
• There is a limited time for any of the routes you choose. If you extend the timings, additional charges may apply.

Sadly, there is no online booking facility yet. One has to go to the respective forest offices to get the tickets. Good part is people generally get the tickets on the spot. There are multiple Safari vendors who are available on request at the Forest Office.

My friend and I did the river boat cruise. Although we did enjoy seeing the beautiful river, it wasn’t exactly what the brochure said it would be. It was more bird watching (and we did see some interesting birds) than seeing otters and crocodiles as shown on the brochure. We were also told it would go for an hour and a half, however we were back after only an hour. Not sure it was worth the price for us

By car it will take about 3 hours from Jaipur city. It is good to know a bit about its history. The golden age of Kota was in the 17th century under the ruler ship of Rajput prince Madho Singh during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The major attractions in Kota are a fort –Kangra Fort, Chambal garden along the bank of the river Chamba – a tributary of Ganga, Kishore sagar lake, Jagmandir Palace etc. Palace is at the centre of the Kishore sagar lake looks very beautiful. For the public, entry to this palace is prohibited. At night time the lighting around this lake and the reflection of Jagmandir palace in the sourrounding water makes the area much fascinating. There is a National Bird Sanctuary in Kota. Mainly we can see peacocks. It seems very friendly to the public. We can take photos when it comes near to the walkways and can feed them. The very famous Kangra Fort in Kota is in the northern border of the district on the bank of the river Chamba. We can enjoy the beauty of the river, Fort and the thick greenery along the bank of the river, from a nearby bridge over the Chamba River. There are many other tourist attractions in Kota such as Gaipernath Waterfall, City palace, Government museum, Kota barrage etc. But unfortunately we could not visit them all. There are many major hospitals in Kota, We visited one among them, but the hygiene and neatness have to be improved much….. more. The free life for hundreds of cows and dogs on the streets and the shortage of the public urination sheds makes the city very dirty. Even though there is a small Airport, it is functioning for military use only because that area is very sensitive being a boarder state. So the nearest airport for the public is Jaipur. We can see many temples there. Most of them are built in the traditional Indian style of architecture.

Its provide opportunity to explore the unexplored area, beautiful wildlife and amazing views during boat ride. we really enjoyed. It cost INR 600 per person and minimum two person required otherwise single person can go by paying INR 1200. Over all highly recommended.
